It’s the Remad. 😂😂
Need to compare this one with remo p3 and evans emad.
Not if they want to sell them!! When you play that way the batter head CAN'T do much for tone!
@@michaelsikora6739 exactly, burying the beater literally takes away ALL of the resonance
Always enjoyable to watch all your videos 😊, I’m old school, just a regular head with a towel inside so I can just move it when I desire to change sounds .
I use the Aquarian kick drum heads u just cannot beat them at all. For the sound and longevity and really easy in tuning
Both sound good. But the coated PS3 is still my favourite.
I used the Emad years ago when it was first introduced. After a month the outer plastic retainer that holds the foam dampener ring cracked… been playing EQ3’s instead ever since.
I think Evans addressed this issue a few years later. I also have a 1st generation Evans Heavy Weight head and the outer plastic cracked too, and even if it can hold the foam, it makes some unwanted noise by vibrating against the head.
I still prefer the sound I get from an Aquarian super kick I and II Even with good speakers, to be fare, I would have to hear them in person.
I use a super kick 2 on a 24 inch bass drum. It does the job and tight enough. I don't even have a port hole in front of the reso head.
@mjtan6787 I have 2 reso heads I switch back and forth with.one with a hole, one without. I've been really getting into the sound of the one without a hole when I'm using microphones lately. It has more resonance, sounds rounder and fills the room better.
I am a Remo guy overall, but this won't beat an EMAD Heavyweight for me.
Evans EMAD - original and the best
I would like to hear it alongside and compared to the standard PS3.
It seems a little too muffled to my ear. I like a louder crack/attack.
What reso head are you using?
Remo is to Evans what Apple is to Android. Behind the curve. Great review but we all know where this "innovation" comes from.
Or you could say it's the other way around. Knockoff.
I love REMO , but this système, is an Evans idea!
or you can just buy an emperor and put a blanket inside
it sounds different.
How is this different from an EMAD?
Brand.
