If you knew the geography of the area, as I do, I drive these myself, there is no worry. From this signal WH59 the next signsl, WH61, is clearly visible ahead. As usual we follow slower FCC services that are 'put inside' onto the down slow line at this junction. When in clear the signal for this train, WH61, on the down fast springs off to a green aspect. This would have happened very soon after departing WH59 and as I said, would have been clearly visible. Good driving to keep time as I see it!
Spectacular video :-D :-D :-D :-D. I like it a lot :-). My goodness :-). I say, driving from 0-110 mph, that is top speed 110mph I must say :-). These class 222 Meridian's really are high speed DMU's I must say :-). The cab of a class 222 looks very nice :-). Have a nice evening my friend :-). Foxy :-).
@@TheMrBitsy: Matter of fact, you can see the first signal change from single yellow to green at 0:15 (about), and hear the discussion of how quickly the junction was cleared and the signal changed aspect immediately after
@@fightforfreedom5292 the bogies. Super voyagers are usually 5 cars but there is 4 car super voyagers. The bogies are different to the super and the regular voyager. Pioneers are miles different to the voyagers even though they are the same family of trains but the looks are different to the voyagers and pioneers.

Meridians look absolutly lovely to drive. I'd love to be lucky enough to drive either a meridian or hst.
I so wanna drive a class 222 or class 221 or class 220, love the voyagers and meridians
0 - 110mph in about 2 mins 50 seconds if I work it out right from the video. That's very fast acceleration for a train!
cool, Finally I can hear a spec of the traction motors!
finally someone has done a cab ride vid of in a meridian, my fav high speed unit :)
love the vid

Why did you have to put :-D after everything... lol
Great video. The Class 222 is my favourite engine! I have a clip on my channel of one at Derby. Cheers.
I am surprised that British trains still use the old European system of weights and measures.
These Meridians are pretty quick
If you look closely I think it clears to a green at about 0:17. But yeah, it seems a bit fast to be going with the sunflower in effect.
I can't believe he opened that up full throttle on a yellow signal! It must have been doing more than 60 mph by the next signal.
Jason Cutler the next signal was green anyway
Slower FCC train going to slow line probably. Driver would have seen the junction signal show a green in the Distance.

I honestly had no clue they had a traction motor noise !!! This is interesting
I can hear it over the engines when I’m travelling.
@@bfapple I’ve always just heard a rumble
superb. did the emt driver let you or are you a driver?!
That’s pretty fast acceleration. Love the 222 or super voyager as it’s also called.
Super voyager is 221. 222 is called meridian or pioneer
@@c3gfboy7 And I’m guessing the 220 is just the standard voyager. What’s the difference between them?

Is being a train driver a good job? Im considering doing it when im of age and whats the age?
20 I think.
Epic Loco Films UK 21

Do they have cruise control?
I don’t think so. Not in train simulator they don’t anyway.
Impressive but I worry about the driver taking full power on a single yellow aspect from a stand.
What's the meaning of the chime that frequently sounds?
green signal
