Also I'm sorry to be that guy who can't just enjoy the video but there are a couple of issues with the GG:
1) should be much taller
2)is located in the middle East
3)you can't to within 1km of it
I know these are because of limitations of minecraft and for the sake of the vid(well except the 2nd one)but I'm sorry, I just can't help but be that guy.

To anyone who is confused by the title, there are several SCP 001's. Nobody knows which is real, and there are several theory's. This universe is based on if the real 001 was 'The Gate Guardian'.
This universe’s 001 is also the prototype since it is still Canon to this series

Tulip the Animatronic skunk That is an interesting theory. Also kind of tied with my own theory on how Abel got his powers. I believe that maybe after thousands of years Cain came to fully regret killings his brother and decided to try and find a way to bring him back. This led him to first encountering the Daevites. With their knowledge and skills in magic and rituals, he believed they might be able to resurrect Abel. However Cain was unaware that they had connections to The Scarlet King, so when Abel was resurrected he was corrupted and turned into a violent bloodthirsty savage hell bent on vengeance.

The answer for those of you asking "Which is the real SCP-001?" is that "No-one knows."
The Gate Guardian is just one of several, several proposals for what SCP-001 could be/is.
They could all exist, or none of them could exist. There being no definite canon in the SCP universe means that no interpretation is wrong or right. It's all a matter of personal taste and opinion.
Now the question of what, exactly, The Gate Guardian is, well, guarding? No-one knows that for certain either, but it is all but stated in the article that they are guarding the entrance to The Garden Of Eden. With this being the case, that would make the Gate Guardian the Archangel Jophiel.
I'm about to go off on a bit of a tangent, so apologies in advance.
It is not touched upon in these videos, but several SCPs in the Foundation's archives are connected to, or outright figures from, the Holy Bible.
For those of you who don't know, The Garden Of Eden is the place that Adam and Eve, the first man and woman created by god, were thrown out of after Eve took the forbidden fruit from The Tree Of Knowledge against god's wishes. After being cast out of the Garden, the entrance was sealed with a flaming sword that was taken up by the Archangel Jophiel, who would guard it for all eternity. One of the proposed locations for the Garden Of Eden is near the intersection of the Tigris and Euphrates river, which is where The Gate Guardian is stated to be at in the article. The heavy focus on Abrahmic faiths, Babylonian texts, and the Dead Sea Scrolls in the article make this point even more apparent.
The Gate Guardian is not the only SCP with some form of relation to the Holy Bible, of course. There's SCP-343, who states that they themselves are God, though in reality they are most likely just a very, very talented reality-warper. They are not related to this situation, though.
SCP-076 and SCP-073, however, are.
Now, how does SCP-076 factor into this? Why did he instinctually refuse to approach the Gate Guardian? Because he recognized the place that his father and mother were thrown from, and knew what would happen if he tried to approach.
073 and 076 are Cain and Able. They are the first sons born to Adam and Eve after they were thrown from Eden. Cain was the first man to be born, while Able was the first to die. According to the Bible, the brothers made offerings to God for his favor, with Cain being a farmer, and Able being a shepherd. God chose Able's offerings over Cain's, and in an act of fury, Cain murdered his brother. When God realized what Cain had done, he cursed him to an endless wander. He would never farm again, and God marked him so that any who tried to kill Cain would have it reflected back on themselves sevenfold.
Sounds familiar, doesn't it? These curses are, of course, the same abilities that are highlighted in 073's article. The ability to reflect attacks back on others, the withering effect he has on anything plant-like or made from plants, etcetera. That explains Cain.
Able, however is much harder to pinpoint. There is no doubt that he is the same Able from the Bible. his rage at seeing the mark of his brother or even having his brother mentioned, the mention in his article of him having quite the knowledge of caring for livestock, and of course his outright refusal to even approach The Gate Guardian, make this abundantly clear. How exactly he came back to life, how he ended up in that coffin, where he gets all his weapons from, his resilience and durability, however, are never fully explained. Perhaps because he was the first death of man, the first murder, god took pity on him and brought him back, or perhaps the pure rage and anger that Able felt is the only thing that fuels him, the idea of revenge against his brother, and all the other "children" of god who now roam the world. Perhaps. Most likely, we'll never truly know.
The interesting thing here is how genial and polite Cain is in comparison to Able, when you would probably expect it to be the other way around. To that I say, Cain has been wandering the earth since nearly the beginning of humanity, according to the Bible. He's wandered the world as an untouchable, undying being who is unable to do much more than think. In those thousands and thousands of years spent wandering, he's come to terms with what he's done. He no longer feels the jealousy or rage that made him strike down Able, he regrets it and wishes it hadn't happened. But it did, and so he's lived with that knowledge and tried to move forward and be better.
Able hasn't had thousands of years to ponder over these things. To him, I imagine the pain and feeling of betrayal is still fresh and upfront in his mind. That anger and rage is still boiling over in his blood, and, like I suggested above, maybe the only things still keeping him going. The anger and pain is all he knows, and this has ironically enough caused the two brothers to switch their roles almost entirely.
Now, that's that connected and settled. But now we ask, what of the Scarlet King? Does he have any connection to this? The most obvious thing to say is that they are The Devil himself, but as you may or may not have noticed by now, things are almost always a lot more complicated than first though in the Foundation universe.
To that, I say, I don't know. He might be, he could be. There's just as much evidence to support that theory as there is to go against it. But all I can say for certain, is that if he were to break free, the battle for the end of the world be of Biblical proportions.

I'm wondering if Cory is going to end up meeting SCP-001. Just imagine it, the son of the world ending Scarlet King meeting the Guardian of the Gate. In the SCP-122 video it seemed that the King could contact Cory in his sleep. What if the King can somehow enter Cory's mind to be with Cory and then Cory goes to meet 001? The Scarlet King inside of the mind of The Scarlet Prince who can't get physicallly or mentally hurt vs The Gate Guardian who can't be hurt and can burn anyone alive with a swing of his sword. My mind is trying to think of every possible interaction between the two(or three including Cory).
I'm as clueless as you are,well let's just wait & see what happens next I guess

It would be Cory. Cory is extremely lucky can give him defend him with 001 slashes they would probably just miss him. Cory can’t be mentally manipulated in anomalous ways which nullifys 001 power of telling people what to do and he can control scp . We don’t know if 001 can be mentally manipulated though. And a bit more speculation but it seems that Cory has a small reality bending powers . In scp 2317 video you see Cory teleported Alice to the sisters.(I didn’t watch the sisters episode all the way but I didn’t think Cory new about them either so Cory must have knowledge about all scp,but hey that’s just a theory)
@@dantyndall4412 I agree with you, he probably does have reality bending powers. Although I think whenever we were learning about the Sisters he was there. Though I can't say for certain. I also think that if someone like 001 can't be mentally manipulated by Cory then it would make since that others like the Scarlet King and etc. wouldn't be affected either. And on that note since Cory has mind manipulating powers do you think the King has powers like that too. I mean he is his father, it would make since if he had powers that were even stronger than Cory's.

there are multiple proposals for scp- 001. but there are also multiple true 001's or the truths. there's one made by scp illustrated, the long and just of it is that the architect (a object that makes [usually buildings] exponentially larger on the inside) made multiple random copies of our solar system without any life on them (one included the entirety of north america into maple syrup)

I have a theory that this SCP is guarding the Universe Tree.
I believe when the Scarlet King emerges from his prison. He will use his mind control powers to make most of the SCPs become feral and will try to destroy the Universe Tree. If this tree dies then the Universe dies with it. Think of it like a corruption raid on Ark Extinction but instead of corrupted creatures trying to destroy a orbital supply drop, it is a army of mind controlled anomalies trying to destroy the personification of our reality.
