Greg walks through 5 stages of a Gospel conversation using the analogy of an airplane. In a practical, easy-to-understand way, he unpacks how to tell someone the Good News of Jesus Christ from takeoff to touchdown, how to bring up the Gospel and how to invite someone into a relationship with Jesus.

Why do so many not talk about the need for repentance and water baptism and what it all means? Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
For it is by Grace you are saved, through faith, not by works, lest any man should boast.
If you are defining repentance by doing good works instead of changing your mind then yes the the gospel would be confusing. Turning from sins is a lifetime work of discipleship which is separate from the initial faith in Christ that guarantees our eternal salvation. Baptism is also a work of discipleship. All that’s needed to begin your relationship with Jesus is faith/belief in Him, John 3:16. John 5:24 no works of our own, just placing our trust in the finished work of Christ. That was the meaning by Jesus’s words “It is finished” spoken on the cross.

Send Christmas cards with saving scriptures to family members, I have done this with the saving scriptures of Ephesians 1 7kjv and 1 Corinthians 15 1-4kjv. As Christians we are to spread the Gospel that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the 3rd day by which we are saved, 1 Corinthians 15 1-4kjv.
Not the gospel.
Mk. 1:14-15, gospel.
@@eltonron1558 You need to learn to rightly divide the Word of Truth, 2 Timothy 2 15kjv.
@happydays310 According to Christianity, Jesus is the truth, and what Jesus says is the gospel is the gospel, bless your mortal heart. That's how you divide scripture rightly. Every utterance is weighed with the instruction, and correction, Jesus Christ. As long as the gospel is according to Christ, he will return, but since it's according to Christianity, he will not. Self imposed long-suffering.
@happydays310 Divide rightly.
Mt. 24:14, gospel,
Mk. 1:14-15, gospel,
Acts 28:31, gospel, LOOK, IT'S PAUL, so 1Cor. 1-4, is PAST TENSE, he ALREADY HAD PREACHED the gospel in Acts 28:31, or contradicts.
NOW LOOK, SAME CHAPTER.
1Cor. 15:23-24, gospel FULFILLED, kingdom delivered up........the end.
No lengthy, complicated need for a savior, just the simple gospel, and fulfilled, JUST AS CHRIST DECLARED.
Why are you not able to anchor your beliefs on the sure word of the savior, only weighed by the apostles, who are easily misunderstood? The way, truth, and life, is the truth.
Mark 1:14-15, gospel, called the gospel, by the truth.
I already know the indoctrination of Sunday seminary graduates, will keep you sharing another gospel, to your curse. Why?
Only Jesus is the truth.
We do not refer to the Old Testament because the Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law and the Law is abolished because of the Lord Jesus Christ's finished Crosswork, Ephesians 2 15kjv. Both Jew and Greek (Gentile) are saved by the same Gospel of Paul, Romans 1 16kjv. Matthew 10 5kjv, Matthew 15 24kjv, Mark 7 27kjv (non-Jews are dogs), Luke 1 16kjv and John 4 22kjv are proof we do not refer to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as the Lord Jesus Christ came to save the Jews with the Kingdom Gospel (works plus faith) and it is only in Romans 11 11kjv that Israel fell and salvation came unto the Gentiles due to the stoning of Stephen in Acts. The rest of the Gospels of James, Peter, John and Jude were written to Israel including Hebrews and were preaching the Kingdom Gospel as well which leaves Paul's Gospel of Grace (faith only) as the only Gospel that saves. Ephesians 2 8-9kjv teaches that no works are required for salvation.
That’s a crash course alright.
Pretty light. Sorry. 😢
No scripture?
From 2:30 on we reference the scripture that supports each letter of the acrostic. I encourage you to look for yourself. The app provides a ton of support to point people to scripture as you walk them though!
The Gospel (Good News) Jesus taught was about the coming righteous Kingdom of God - Matt 4:23, 9:35; Mark 1:14, Luke 4:43, 8:1.
The Gospel Paul/Peter/Philip, etc. taught was about Jesus through which we can be a part of that Kingdom - Act 2:38, 5:42; Romans 1:16
Philip combined the two Gospels - Act 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the gospel, the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
The Great Commission (Matt 24:14, Mark 16:15-16) is to preach the Kingdom of God and those who believe in Jesus Christ will be a part of that Kingdom.
The five second Gospel:
There is a Righteous Kingdom coming
The Righteous King is Jesus Christ
You can be in the Kingdom
How to be in the Kingdom - ten seconds:
Repent/turn from your sins - breaking God’s law
Believe in and follow Jesus Christ’s Way of life
Be baptized
Problem is that gospel is the mixing of works and grace. It can’t be by both Romans 4:4-5
Eph 2:8-9
If we are saved by our turning from sin and doing good works, then no-one would make it for we all fall short Romans 3:23
James 2:10
We are saved by belief in the gift of Jesus, then we are forever secure in his grip Romans 8, then we must grow in discipleship eph 2:10 but we never lose our sonship our free gift and guarantee of always living with the Lord, John 5:24
WHY 5 MINUTES?
It's just one sentence.
Mark 1:24-15, gospel.
Mt. 24:14, gospel.
Acts 28:31, gospel.
HERE'S THE THING
1Cor. 15:23-24, gospel fulfilled, kingdom delivered up the end.
No 5 minutes, no lengthy complicated need for a savior, just the gospel straight from the savior.
Until the gospel of Christianity Christianity, is the gospel according to Christ, he will not return.
Sunday Christianity, is in a self imposed long suffering, by another gospel.
You cant offer anyone salvation in 5 minutes.
True repentance and obedience are required by God for Salvation. One must become a devoted student of God's word in the bible to know who he is and what he requires of us. One must be born again.
People can't just say, "I accept Jesus" and be saved on the spot. We have to repent from the heart and hope that God will accept us. Jesus said, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him." There is a great deal of arrogance when human beings believe that they can command God to show up and save them on the day and time of their choosing. This is highly disrespectful. God calls who he chooses on his own timing. We answer to him. He doesn't answer to us.
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9
This verse does not say one must become a devoted student of God's word to be saved.
No one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 12:3. It’s the first step to repent, confess he is Lord, ask for forgiveness and believe in your heart his death burial and resurrection. Ask God for the Holy Spirit to live within us and seek after his kingdom and his righteousness from this point. Yes, study to show thyself approved. Not Faith alone but Faith in Jesus will produce good works.
