- This is a loose guide to the Hunter campaign in Rain World, set to a low-skill all-objective run I performed personally. It's geared toward intermediate players who have beaten at least one of the other campaigns and are having trouble taking that next step. The narrative also assumes that the player has at least some rough idea of what Hunter mode is all about, and otherwise possesses a decent knowledge base concerning game mechanics and general geography, so some basics may not be explained.

I lost all my cycles because of the karma gates high expectations 😔

There’s a chart on the wiki of how much karma you need to visit an echo. It changes depending on what your maximum is, but not on the specific echo.

What should I do if I don't have Karma for the echo?
As bad as it sounds? Farm. Can you eventually brick your run by farming too much, yes, but in this particular run I farmed a bit and still succeeded with cycles to spare. If you really do end up needing to restart, it's 100% OK. I promise. The lost progress may seem insurmountable but you'll eventually look back and realize how tight the game's circuit really is.

I know this video is old but do you have any advice for someone who’s stuck at the Chimney Canopy shelter you see at the very start of the video? I can’t hunt anything because lizards are very scarce and always fall into the void, while vultures fly away after a couple hits and I just waste spears. It’s supposed to be the easiest part of the run but I’m completely stuck.
At the fork, you could try going down instead, and when you reach that next fork with three transitions going “right,” take the middle one. On the other side of that path you can go up and find another shelter, and there’s blue fruit in that general region (as well as on that first descent). Though there’s also Scavs. It’s not the most ideal option; it’s definitely one of the more awkward parts to have to stop and farm for Hunter, I’ve been there.

I've been killed by a pink lizard before the rain started ._.
Since Downpour came out I've actually had it happen too, now.
For anyone who is doing the pilgrimage achievement: I went to 5P and got the 5 cycles and the second to last karma then went to the left echo and got the achievement but lost the free cycle days 5P gave me.
If you had done the echo immediately after 5P without stopping in the nearby shelter, would you have been teleported back to the base of the Wall?
Theoretically yes, but you can't go through the same gate more than once per cycle. So the one between the Echo and 5P's chamber ruins this idea. That is, unless Downpour now adds a tweak for this that you can activate.

It doesn't matter quite yet, though. I finally made to Chimney Canopy only to realize it's nigh impossible to farm karma here on Hunter. I'm just spending the days slowly collecting vulture masks (and hopefully a king vulture mask) at minimum karma, waiting for my cycles to run out.
@@zammich3649 You'll get it. Chimney is nasty for anything but a quick pass-through. If you want to have some fun, check out the alternate paths/dead ends, they're pretty weird and interesting in Chimney. (maybe Downpour connected some stuff in the lower right, I haven't checked).
