As such, the conclusions change over time. Just like it did with COVID-19. As more came out about it, the CDC policies changed to match. Which is to say, at least on the part of the medical professionals and the scientific community, policy was formed based on science - the science came first, and THEN policy followed. Sadly, for the Trump administration, policy was formed based on whatever Trump decided on that particular day. Which was almost never based on science.
