Paying 30% tax and getting nothing in return from the govt is what is disturbing. Ppl in the US and Europe pay taxes on time coz they get a lot of benefits from the govt be it healthcare, education or even unemployment coverage for people.
Here you pay taxes to fund politicians for their next propaganda to return back into power to exploit you and the cycle continues
And they love defending the government (the current ruling party).

I have heard about people working remote for companies abroad many times on twitter.
But I never thought someone from India would do it,maybe for some reason I thought they'd never give us that chance.
And also when everyone here aiming to work in FAANG or other major Indian start-ups.
You working remote is kind of an inspiration for me and many others.
Even I used to go gaga over faang companies,now after watching your videos I've learnt about open-source and many other things.
I'm currently in my sophomore year and I aspire to work remotely in foreign companies one day.

I still don't understand why people follow influencers of YT in India.
These Indian Influencers are students only, including Kunal himself.
Self research and self learning is much more important than binge watching these YT lectures. The whole open source community is out there to help, specially the less popular people are very much experienced than the influencers in India.
I am glad, Kunal himself says not to follow him, and to follow core engineers and experts from global communities.
Watches kunal's great lecture once and start questioning about managing the taxes.

It's your final year so try to be settled at one niche... Depending on your situation. If you want a job immediately after graduation. Try focus on one niche. After getting source of income. Then while learning you can always explore what you want to do in life. But yeah if you don't have worry for finding job then you can explore right now

Surprisingly I got a video about the same from a XYZ youtuber first thing I did was I went to his twitter profile and his linked in profile and got a clarity that I shouldn't watch this guy! I have seen many people talking about remote work(ex. @abel) having $350k jobs and I saw your podcast with your friend where you talked about this!
Most people follow 10s of people and bhaiyas end up getting in confusion! Please engage in good communities and connect with people who already are masters in it!
Irony is that people want to get into big companies but we are not buying their products to see the brand value we are working because we want to grow in the area/field we are at!

I would love a video on the salary ranges if hired remotely by company from outside India. There must be some bias here since they know we live in India and can lowball us.
Also, some genuine websites/job boards where we can find such jobs.
i got a part time contract based job in US based startup company, since my experience was 7+ years i demanded 2500$ but they offered almost half of that 1500$, i usually work 3-4 hours and attend 30 minute meeting daily, so it's good for me

if a person salary is 50LPA then he need to pay tax about 30% 15Lakh from his money + 18% gst means 9 lakh means total 24Lakh as tax and he is earning 26lakh , wtf

Kunal love ur videos and the superb work u are doing. But i want to ask u one question why dont u consider the stock options in faang cuz they are good companies and its basically untaxed money. (ps: i also know about the faang scam of stock vesting process). am i missing something?
I can always buy faang stocks, but I prefer stocks of promising startups that will raise millions instead.
Stocks are taxed at flat 30%...If your compensation includes 10 stocks of Microsoft then you will only get 7 stocks and the rest 3(30%) will be tax

I have a query, I don't know if many people have the same or not, but if we are working remotely for a foreign company then how is the account and transactions part taken care of? Like we have to create an International Bank Account or Indian only? and if its International then how can we spend that money in India?

microsoft and amazon have increased the base from 14 to 26 including the stocks it goes more than 28+ for one year and that is much better and brand name is also a factor

My package is 6LPA just 2 month ago job started , and company was taking some documents from others employees for tax etc. do i also need to fill those form for the tax clearance etc.
and also 6lpa but in hand only 44k , and until now my salary is just end in 1 week due to previous loan taken from people ,
