I have slow worms in the garden, and saw a common lizard today a juvenile pegging it across the path in the meadow like waste land on the way to town , first uk lizard sighting

In the late 50s we would see slow worms and lizards in the gardens backing onto our schoolyard in Surrey Lane Battersea.

Used to see slow worms in sale water park as a kid (Trafford) also seen a lizard in Hayfield Derbyshire couple of years ago. Love nature

Amazing, absolutely love the slow worm, it gave me a good scare on vacation as a kid when I thought it was a snake 😅.
