1993 June - Broadmeadow Loco

Recently discovered footage from 14 June 1993 of Broadmeadow loco.
Broadmeadow loco depot had some 12 months of operation remaining, servicing and housing the faithful ALCO family as the last of their members were put to rest some 12 months later in July 1994.
Broadmeadow loco is now closed. These scenes never to be repeated.

Great assembly of ALCO's, many destined for an appointment with Albert Sims (the scrappers torch), some preserved or to private enterprise and others used for "GL" class, and a few 73 class ended up modified and ended up in the cane fields of QLD. It would be nice to have 48165 repainted back into the "200 Years" livery and preserved in running order for heritage working. Great video of the past, well done and thank you for posting!😉
