She's a trained child soldier who only fights with her bare hands. You think she'd be able to throw down a little harder.
Marvel talked about this briefly in the comics with Deadpool, when he went to Taskmaster for some training (I think it’s when Wade had his power suppressed for a while but then kept getting his ass kicked). Basically, his fighting was good, but he’d also gotten lazy with his defensive work because he knew he could heal from anything. I think that is basically the thought here too

I really thought at the end they’d have him talk about all the trauma he’s accumulated in this season alone, but no, they they have Starlight digging into him about how hard her life is & how he should’ve magically known the shapeshifter wasn’t her. If any of the stuff that happened to Hughie happened to a female character then there’d be an uproar.
Yes!! And now he has the guilt of leading Victoria (who was his close friend before, and that kind of sentiment isn't entirely erasable) to her death and orphaning Zoe. But also, the fact that the shapeshifter has access to the MEMORIES of who they shift into really did not make it any easier for Hughie, since it's not like the shapeshifter made any major fumbles. Starlight knew based on the conversations with the shifter that their powers let them into her mind and memories; with that in mind and the huge amount of stress and other pressing matters Hughie had to deal with, she should've cut him a lot more slack. Hughie's still freshly grieving the loss of his father (the sole parent who raised him), reeling from sexual assault from his childhood hero and Ashley, and then has been sexually assaulted again by someone posing as his serious girlfriend.

Also she and him made up almost instantly
What confuses me is that period of time where Kimiko is perfectly aware of what is happening, watching people being killed one by one, and not stepping in to stop the imposter until *after* she has killed every other guard and non named character present. She then immediately goes on to restrain her and only loses hold of her because she gets distracted (somehow) by the guys walking by. There was literally nothing stopping her from doing that the instant that the imposter punched MM.
typical movie stuff. butttttttt kimikos priority was to defend the president so maybe she just didnt want to leap out to attack the shifter, cuz if the shifter dodges and rushes towards singer, then its mission failed yk.
She's died 6 times that I remember. Gutted by Black Noir, necked snapped twice, shot in the head twice, blown in half with a grenade launcher. She might've also died when she faceplanted out the window this season.
The fight scene is really well-written! Hughie is shoved against the wall and is unharmed (can run seconds later). MM is shoved against the wall and is unharmed (can run seconds later). 1-st guard is slightly pushed with one hand and is instantly killed. 2-nd guard is instantly killed. 3-rd guard is instantly killed. 4-th guard got his neck bit off. Kimiko is super killed. You really can't tell if the main characters will survive or not.
I don't get how people can get invested in this show. Literally no "main" character will die. There is nothing at stake. They have plenty of useless characters that they could kill off like "I can't talk"-Kimiko or Frenchie. Literally no one cares about them and their awkward little love story.
well it would be a pretty boring show if the superheroes realistically just obliterated the boys. with this logic why doesnt homelander just come laser them all in their sleep
the only issue that they were using some mere pistols, instead of some powerful weapons. Like, we saw that Minigun or Sniper rifles can hold Supe a bit, so why not to use this kind of weapon?
Center mass shots kill most people that aren’t bullet proof supes are something most police/security/military’s cannot counter sense their isn’t one most are bullet proof to anything that isn’t a naval cannon so they aren’t trained sense the ideology is still “supes good”

Kimiko gets treated like Thor in the comics. Shit on at every turn. Lose an arm, lose a leg, broken neck …twice. But she can’t actually ever win a fight? C’mon man.
Why the fuck do they think the shapeshifter is even dead? Starlight did a chokehold and released her immediately after she passed out, she would be back concious in like 2 minutes. Chokeholds only kill people if you keep depriving the brain of oxygen by not letting go

Why did she not just take the ring and say, "I believe this belongs to me," and rip that ring off. The only reason Kimiko lost was due to the writers wanting Starlight to fight but they dropped the ball.
some of the excuses and defenses people come up with in the comments for bad writing is making me laugh. People are replying to the comment above yours saying they are nitpicking for pointing out bad writing, this sort of thing is exactly why season 5's writing will be comically bad. Every franchise falls starting with delusional fans claiming nothing from their IP could possibly be bad. I still remember the star wars fans claiming rise of skywalker was good, and I remember marvel fans claiming Captain Marvel was good. Now we have the boys fans claiming season 4 was good, and the boys will end up in the gutter just like these two franchises, mark my words
@@odinwarlock2436 but shes clearly capable of it, she gave a more brutal beating to Firecracker a few episodes ago. Makes no sense she chooses the easiest, least brutal way for Shifter to go out. People have to stop defending bad writing, I'm seriously concerned how bad season 5's writing could be
@@SuryaGupta-te7fq Firecracker leaked her medical records live. She was furious and not thinking clearly. She only beat up Firecracker. A few punches to the face hardly make her Butcher. This is only bad writing because you decided days ago and haven't thought critically about it since.
Anyone else notice they’ve downplayed kimko A LOT this season? Yes her regen powers have seen to be OP this season but they seemed to use her as a living punching bag and less of the deadly weapon she use to be. I think they did this in the plot to make starlight look more badass. I mean even butcher complimented tk kesler on how kimko was strong asf, saying starlight was useless. They showed here starlight took shifter down with little to no struggle and kimko on the other hand go her shit rocked. This is the same kimko that gave og noir a good fight (yes noir won but to think how much longer the fight would’ve gone if noir didn’t use any knives or weapons) while noir was throwing starlight around until maeve came to her rescue. Also kimko was able to keep up with storm front hand to hand up until stormfront used her lightning powers on her. One of the problem’s on the show is their showing of consistency within the character’s powers. Now it seems like every supe has a set of unique powers but have heightened strength, but kimko was seemed to have above the normal strength. I mean yea she mostly tears through humans but even before when she had gone through other supes she put in the work. She got a few good hits on with noir in their fight and was beating stormfront’s ass until the lightning shot. She had no good strength feats this season. I mean even useless firecracker was pretty much on par/beating kimko, even if kimko was drunk, still it’s kjmko, she should’ve put her down easy, drunk or not. The final with the boys getting taken, I expected more of a fight between her and Sam, kinda disappointing. But then again Sam is a menace and very strong and cate told him to feel nothing so the punch might’ve affected Sam more if that wasn’t the case. I hope in season 5 she is more of a threat and have actual strength feats. Hopefully a rematch between her and Sam. Sam will most likely win for sure, I mean he’s one of the strongest supes, up near homelander, but kimko is a trained killer who may not be as strong, so at least put up a good fight.
@@SebastianEpicurus wrong, that one thing that's wrong is why kimiko instead of fighting her from the get go, she instead escorted singer to the safe which is really dumb when the enemy is just one person. Hughie and MM can literally get killed while she is guarding singer. It was a dumb writing.
@@SebastianEpicurus proves the point that it’s lazy writing. Kimko was a lethal killer who wouldn’t let anyone hurt her family, making her escort singer away doesn’t make sense for kimko, knowing that mm and hugie just got flung into the wall. Even after she tackled and held her down, she shouldn’t have restrained shifter, kimmo should’ve killed the shifter. But due to wanting to redeem starlight’s strength, they had to weaken kimko.
How come when she pushes Hughie and MM into a solid brick wall they survive but that agent gets pushed into a filing cabinet and it's an instant kill? Also Ryan pushed Mallorey into a wall and it breaks her kneck
there’s very little distance between them and the wall. Shorter distance = less time to accelerate = less speed = hurt less I got that and I’m bad at physics, but you seem to better than me at writing failed internet essays so i guess we can call it even.
@@wizofhellthat’s not how physics work. In case of a collision there is a really important acceleration for a short period of time but the moment the shapeshifter wasn’t in contact anymore the acceleration would have been null. And it’s obvious, no force = no acceleration so no contact no acceleration, in fact the further the people were from the wall the slower they would have been at the moment of impact due to air resistance. The reason why MM and Hughie survived is because instead of having a small area of contact they hit a wall. Therefore their whole body took the hit, while the snapped back guy hit a table and the lady hit a coat hanger. But even then even though surviving from the impact on the wall is plausible they should have been way more hurt than what we see.
Kimiko really just got unlucky hit. LIke many of the no names in the previous fight. THe two boys hit a flat wall, everyone else hit an edge. Kimiko hit an edge and it stunned her momentarily.

@@smokeychickenwings1038 Exactly. Go to any superhero wiki page and you see Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Speed, Endurance, etc. Yes, its redundant but that's the whole gimmick of superheroes
The problem is, most superpowers logically require having super strength and durability. Unless you're a psychic or some sort of telekinetic, having powers with no form of durability or strength to wield it kinda just makes you a danger to yourself.
No man, this is every single one... DC and Marvel have a blend of characters of different levels of tankyness. Characters that are one, the other, or neither...
MM told her to defend the president so she followed orders 🤷
I do agree I wish she put up more of a fight against the shifter tho
She defended the president

Did anybody count how many times Kimiko died😂
She's died at least 5 times
She's died 6 times that I remember. Gutted by Black Noir, necked snapped twice, shot in the head twice, blown in half with a grenade launcher. She might've also died when she faceplanted out the window this season.
He should have told Kimiko first. Told her a signal
The shittiest getaway route ever. A door that takes half your life to open and a keypad with a 30 number code.
The fight scene is really well-written!

You really can't tell if the main characters will survive or not.
kimmy's fine, just another day with a neck re-alignment.
Calm down man that is a serie obviously they dont die like the npcs
I don't get how people can get invested in this show. Literally no "main" character will die. There is nothing at stake. They have plenty of useless characters that they could kill off like "I can't talk"-Kimiko or Frenchie. Literally no one cares about them and their awkward little love story.
well it would be a pretty boring show if the superheroes realistically just obliterated the boys. with this logic why doesnt homelander just come laser them all in their sleep
The only time Starlight wins a fight is when shes not using her power lmao

One annoying part of the Boys group is that they still use guns knowing that they are fighting the Supes🤨
Guns work on some types of supes, though, so it's not totally redundant.
the only issue that they were using some mere pistols, instead of some powerful weapons. Like, we saw that Minigun or Sniper rifles can hold Supe a bit, so why not to use this kind of weapon?
@muascar3076 probably more difficult to carry around/ concealed. You can't just walk around with guns like that without raising eyebrows
not all supes are bullet proof
He shot at her body multiple times but not her head! Aren’t they trained for this?
Must agents are trained to hit center mass as its easier to
Ever law enforcement and agency teaches that center mass is easier to hit and has the most important stuff to live.
Center mass shots kill most people that aren’t bullet proof supes are something most police/security/military’s cannot counter sense their isn’t one most are bullet proof to anything that isn’t a naval cannon so they aren’t trained sense the ideology is still “supes good”

I was expecting a longer and more satisfying fight between Kimiko, Starlight, and Shapeshifter
Why the fuck do they think the shapeshifter is even dead? Starlight did a chokehold and released her immediately after she passed out, she would be back concious in like 2 minutes. Chokeholds only kill people if you keep depriving the brain of oxygen by not letting go
@TheMasterpiecePD The only guess I have is that Starlight is a Supe with super strength and was just stronger than Shapeshifter?
They nerfed Kimi-ko bad.
They kinda did Hughie bogus this season, not writing but just straight up bullying
Kimiko actually overpowered Starlight before she got destructed

@@johnnybravo8129 wouldn’t say she is useless tho there has been many times where she saved the boys asses, she is good for holding off threats too and I think the writers just use her as a shock value puppet. These are supes, why would they die in one punch?
Honestly, after all that time held prisoner Annie didn't just break the Shifter's neck like the Shifter did to Kimiko?
1:25 that was just unnecessary
Huh
Bro’s bone’s got crushed by a desk lmao
The way the shape shifter died was just so tame...
I legit thought Annie just knocked her out it was extremely lame
Annie isn't Butcher, or Homelander, she has no reason to be more brutal than she needs to.
Sam will most likely win for sure, I mean he’s one of the strongest supes, up near homelander, but kimko is a trained killer who may not be as strong, so at least put up a good fight.
wrong. Kimiko straight up tackled and held the shifter down, until Hughie and MM got away, distracting Kimiko, allowing shifter to have the upper hand
How the secret service guy split on the desk like that 😂😂😂
How come when she pushes Hughie and MM into a solid brick wall they survive but that agent gets pushed into a filing cabinet and it's an instant kill? Also Ryan pushed Mallorey into a wall and it breaks her kneck
Ryan is infinitely stronger than the shapeshifter though
cuz they didnt forgor putting their plot armour on
there’s very little distance between them and the wall.
Shorter distance = less time to accelerate = less speed = hurt less
I got that and I’m bad at physics, but you seem to better than me at writing failed internet essays so i guess we can call it even.
@@ryznak4814 All I got from that paragraph was that wall stops speed better than air resistance slowing anything down.
This scene basically implied that kimikois weaker than starlight which is complete bs
Starlight is bullet proof to some caliber. Kimiko is not. She can endure bullets but they still go through her
She is, kimiko is strong but not as much as Starlight and isn´t bullet proof, what sets kimiko apart is her healing factor
Kimiko also looks better
Kimiko really just got unlucky hit. LIke many of the no names in the previous fight. THe two boys hit a flat wall, everyone else hit an edge.
