First rule of Fight Attendant life: Keep a spare toiletry bag & a small (separate) bag of essentials make-up that always stays in your travel bag.. You don't need to switch or repack etc.

Protip: If you have a refillable bottle of something that you always have with you (I use a small hand sanitizer bottle), wrap it with several layers of black duct tape and a few layers of black electrical tape next to it. You'll need either one or the other (duct tape-fix glasses or suitcase, electrical,-fix frayed phone cord). Quite a few times I have needed them on the fly somewhere and it's great to know I always have it with me when I do. I've fixed shoes, my watchband, glasses, purse handle, luggage, phone cords, even a bra strap, and so many things. Wrap something in some white duct tape also if you tend to have white things.

The heels thing isn’t just for flight attendants. Those of us who’ve prioritized the cute heels, had sore feet, crushed toes, for years can relate. You just make comfort the new priority after a while. That’s called wisdom. 🤓
I have two toiletry bags and makeup case. I leave one set in my suitcase. Less stress for me.

I’m surprised you don’t have a makeup/toiletries set up for work only that you keep in your suitcase. They’re pretty easy to put together get mini sizes and samples from Sephora of foundation (you would crack up if you saw what autocorrect did to the word foundation) blush a mini palette travel mascara lippies-Pat McGrath has an excellent red lippie kit on Sephora for like 25-etc, this way you never do without

That hotel room reminds me of the rooms I would get when I stayed at Marriotts in Philly for work. Nearly identical layout. Loved having the kitchen when I was there for 4 or 5 nights. I have the exact shoes shown for 25 years seniority - and all of my shoes are like that.
You had an unbelievably hard time with your glasses! When the other pin fell off at the hotel, I actually had to stop the video, I was laughing so hard!!! Been there, done that!!! Now I travel with a back up pair!!!

Hi Stella, we met at DCA a couple of months ago. When I started flying I bought a 2nd set of EVERYTHING I need at home to get ready... 2nd set of makeup and makeup brushes, toiletries, hair brushes, ect. I HATED having to repack all of that stuff! So now all I have to take out and repack is my clothes 😊

As a Sbux barista, this idea gives me a lot of anxiety. Sbux already pushes their baristas to get drinks out in a certain time frame. But when the world shows up all at once, you can't meet the standard and the shift managers and baristas can catch a lot of heat for it. On top of angry customers. Having an express line that would have a stricter time limit and stressed out passengers trying to catch flights.... 😨

When I was nursing back in the 1980's the husband of a patient of ours originally designed and had the Patent for Airline galley trolleys. He was a millionaire. A lovely man and he gave our ward a huge donation after his wife passed away.

A friend of mine used to fly through Nashville a lot, when it was an AA hub. With airport code BNA, a lot of pilots and F/As used to call it Bananaville.

I was at National at 4 am Sunday morning. So difficult to get there and hardly anything is open. It's a challenge but you handled it better than I, even allowing for your leaving toiletries behind. Good job!

Had my glasses break in half on a flight from New Orleans to Denver. Had to sit there for the remainder of the flight then had to wander around Denver Airport blind trying to find my next gate so I could get home. Didn't have my team with me (I'm a Comedian, my team is my entourage), don't remember why. And the people in Denver were not the least but helpful, I would ask for help, explain the situation, they rolled their eyes at me and walked away. I had been on the road for a while and was getting madder and madder each time, I remember finally saying some 4 letter words to several people, that I won't repeat. Finally a Flight Attendant saw my struggle and helped me to the gate. I didn't catch her name but if she's watching, thank you.
Take it from a fellow eyeglasses 👓 wearer. Keep some crazy glue with you for your glasses. Lol!! I’ve been to the point where I was down to one ☝️ arm!

Aww mistakes happen. You should have a makeup or toiletries bag with the essentials that stays put in your flight attendant luggage. Besides saving time with having to pack it, it just makes sense.
I have those shoes.I actually have 2 pair. They were comfortable in the beginning but I think I have developed a Morton’s neuroma on my right foot. Going to see a podiatrist because those shoes really were comfortable.
You’re truly blessed to look so great without makeup or hair products.
I love Nashville one of my favorite overnights as regional. The honky tink bar at night is so fun . A lot of us flight crew goes here . If you ever get a chance try out big shots that’s a cool little dive bar .
I have those same clarks so comfy . I’ll be 5years in February that is so true the shorter chunk is just more comfy .
First time we went to Vegas 21 yrs ago, I forgot my wife's clothes, but I believe she had her makeup. Franny jumping through the screen again. 👍 Great to see.
