Wonderhussy, you need to head to the coast. Oregon coast and Washington coast is nice and cool.

That's what I do too. The Northern coast is the only cool place during these heatwaves. I've been in Vegas when it was 120°. They are lying about Vegas only getting 117°.

You do realize that none of us expect 13 adventure videos in the midst of a heat wave. We would be perfectly content if you pulled up a chair in front of the air conditioner and told us stories, real or imagined. You have a wonderful way with words and we love listening to you!

I'm in Leadville Co. at 10,000ft. It's rare that it gets above 80deg. Today it is 74deg. LOVE IT!!

My friend lives in Arizona, Edith she loves dogs. She has a lot of land. and she’s has a couple of dogs already if you can’t find a home for her, she’ll take her.

I'm in San Francisco where it's currently 57 and the forecast is for 67 high today and sunny. I'm spoiled and can't take the heat anymore. I used to live Phoenix but the heat got to be too much.

Time to head uip the pacific coast...62 in eureka today. Clear skies during day...coastal fog at night. Humboldt is the best place in the USA during any heat wave. Lots of herb options as well.

I'm in Texas and 50% humidity is absolutely wonderful. So 20% would be heavenly.
Highs in the mid 60’s in Northern Humboldt and even cooler in the Redwoods. Foggy in the mornings but sun pops out midday. You’re always welcome here.

Altitude makes locations cool, we’ll always in the winter 🥶, but only sometimes in the summer, especially places that don’t have much shade or water 💦 nearby! Maybe that X FLARE today is heating things up a little? 😮
Dog adventure is rough , can't leave in hot van. Most trails won't allow dogs, n burning man , restrict my adventure, I'm nvr alone. 🎉

Okay here's what you do... Go to the Lost Coast. Go to that sweet little campground outside of Petrolia on the Matole, and creek walk all the pristine & numerous swimming holes! All of which are creek walking distance from campground. If you haven't done this yet...you really should!

The humidity in Ocala is currently 98%, and the highs are close to 100F daily. My A/C hasn't worked for several months, as well. Just imagine drinking over two gallons of water in 12 hours, and sweating it all away in under 24 hours.

Hello Wunderhussy. I live in Westwood Northern California, where it's 100°, but I vacation summers in Klamath CA, at the mouth of the Klamath River and the Pacific Ocean where there are more 70° days than any other place in America. It's so cool here, we wear sweaters and cover in blankets by 5 pm. Funny you mentioned the Lewis and Clark expedition because it goes close to Orick CA, where the Lewis and Clark pass and memorial are located in the Redwood Forest. We are across the street from the Tour-Through Tree. There's plenty of tent camping and the Trees of Mystery can't be beat. The Yurok Tribe ceremonial grounds are pretty cool too. Thanks for the videos. 😊

I totally sympathize about the heat. I've been lucky enough to spend the past three months right along the Coast - California, Oregon, Washington, Vancouver Island. Usually in the high 60s to mid 70s. It has saved me and made it possible to keep living in my van.
Please keep us updated on Frankie. I can relate, I was also the last one to be chosen ❤ when people were picking teams.

I thought you hated beer, Sarah. I don't remember you ever going to San Diego. It's relatively cool there and lots to see and do. They do have a legitimate haunted house in Old Town, and with Halloween coming up soon you might want to do something with that over there. And you know that Mexican food is going to be fantastic and authentic, so close to the border. I also believe there is a Walmart where you can camp for free overnight. Do you know anybody from there?

We just went through a heat wave here in the northeast, the last time it was like this that I remember was about 2010 when it went on for about a week or so like this, then Tuesday we got slammed with really bad storms and where I am, we had one tornado about 5 miles to my south, another one just to my north and a couple back around me to my west, on top of that straight line winds and flooding. We lost power which in 90 degree heat and humidity is bad enough, some just got it back yesterday, four days in. No one wants to be out here even on the small trails.
I live in Boise. All the best Idaho hot springs are in the mountains, where it's far cooler! It only got to be about 95 degrees at the hottest up towards Cascade and McCall, Idaho, and we've been up there for about a week. It's been nice up there! Also, the Sawtooth Mountain range stays even cooler than Cascade and McCall! There are hot springs everywhere here in the mountains! You just need to take a chance on Idaho!
While hitching up the west coast I found the red woods made me get vertigo for the first time. Or a trip of the coast would be cool. I'm glad they let you off the hook delivering the dog.
