Yeah, bass on the Sony sounds floppy. Not much between the MR3 & MR4, but to my ears the 4 just takes it. Glad I've just upgraded my original 10 year old wired 2.1 Minirig setup to MR4s and am waiting for the Sub 4 to be released, which I'm hoping will be wireless.
I have 2 minirig 3s and 2 minirig minis. I also got a sub 3. I absolutely love these speakers. I actually took all my minirig speakers and dasy chain them to the Dimondboxx Sub 8.2 and wow! Loud and clear!
Thanks for the comparison. Still : Why is the Ult 1 couched down that way ? If you cover the front tweeters, there's no way the comparison could be any kind of valid..
All recordings were captured whilst speakers were in optimum performance positions. Unit placement was for upload purposes only. Images were added to the relevant audio track (recorded separately). In all cases the minirig has a much clearer mid/hf performance which is clearly noticeable in the upload

I never heard of this brand before. It does sound nice though. Good to have some reggae music to compare and analyze ability

Can I ask if they sound worse when the speaker is facing up?

What is the minirig comparable in volume to? Use JBL examples (louder than flip,charge,xtreme, etc…)
Didn’t check max volume as the louder they perform the poorer the audio and bass. As titled, this upload focuses purely on Bass

The sound is extremely compact, only small room or balcony capable. Any larger area, these are just not sufficient
