I could not see the ENG Subtitles and was disappointed so much that I spent 30min looking for something or someone to have translated this on another channel. In my clicking and hunting I clicked on CC (close Caption) and found out it brought up the English translation YAY!!
Honestly, the special effects of this drama really are quite bad, but Seven Tan' & Allen Ren's acting is AMAZING, plus their portrayal of characters, they brought them back to life, and their AMAZING chemistry is all that made this drama such a success. The choice of main leads is the best thing the director did

I think in this episode is when the mains really start to fall for each other? The first couple of episodes I think they took an interest in each other but I think in this episode that interest started to turn to something more.
Nope not yet. Episode 13 in the spa. It happens very subtle, gradually as Lu Yi goes through difficult work situations with Jin Xia and gets to know her. He doesn't like her yet. He only is putting up with her. And, he protects her because of his father's relationship with her teacher.. Not like the way we're used to so fast a lot more than even episode 13. This drama is different and truly one of the very best. Best regards ✋😊☮️🌻🌷
I like that the writer didn't make lu yi do the cheezy sharing air, forced kiss underwater thing that all the other chinese dramas do. It's too often used. I'm also glad lu yi didn't slow motion catch jin xia when she slipped on the wax. Those 2 things create forced physical intimacy which would cheapen the effect of character expositon as unique characters rather than tropes.

She is able to discover things/see things like clues he may miss or wants help with. I think he took her with him to check out the fake Ghost ship. She is an investigative officer first in his mind...........but he is slowly falling for her too.

Yes...she’s his tag-along assistant/consultant, he smirks and laughs at her behind her back...his facial expressions are funny and it is really hard to keep a straight face with Seven. She’s adorable, even in her ‘sir’ mode...love is in the air, simply because they ‘hate’ each other so much:-)
