As a kid I remember trying and trying to complete this game. Until one night, I finally managed it. It took me all night to dawn to be able to do it. Then I slept like sleeping beauty during the day.
It's also on my top 3 of games with the most obnoxious sound effects. It's like they deliberately designed some of them to hurt your ears. There are so many screechy metallic noises that have the "nails on chalk board" effect. I still love the game and the music, though.
Just curious... on the first boss where it looks like two fireballs go through you at the end, is that a side effect of the twin power that during its duration you're invincible as well?
No, the Twin power doesn't make you invincible. I Was thinking the same, as previously mention here I think it was a very thigh coincidence with the last hit on the boss and that the fireballs stop being lethal as the boss dies. I still can't deny that looked extremely suspicious.

上手い人のプレイを見て、自分で試行錯誤しながら ワンコインクリア 出来る様になったなぁ。全面クリアすると 周りにギャラリーの人が沢山居たわ。
この頃のアーサーが一番機敏に動く
超魔界村では２段ジャンプが可能になったが
動きにキレがない。それがもどかしかった。

I believe you are invincible as soon as the boss takes its last hit

アケスタ版は遅延のせいで３面の舌渡り（岩しゃがんで即ジャンプのとこ）が激シビアな気がする

Nope, he just was confident that the boss was killed. Then the fireball was not hitting you anymore.
It's Capcom's classic hitbox programming. They seem VERY lenient in this game. I once went through a flamethrower attack myself
