I am hoping to use the remote with a Sony Bravia TV. I often like to watch RUclips and with my current remote, when doing a search on RUclips, I can search by talking directly into the remote's microphone. The Sofabaton does not have a mic... would I be able to do the same thing via its connection to Google Assistant?
Hi there. Sadly that's not supported as it's something I would love too! However, I need to test whether you can keep a Google Home speaker near your TV in the same room and use voice commands that way. It usually required an extra step like "Hey Google. Show me the weather on the Google TV." etc. Not as intuitive.
Is there a page for number entry, ie changing channels. I've seen one video where it looks like i have to scroll down a list of numbers and then press select on each one, would be far easier to have a specific page for number entry like the Logitech elite has.
the X1S is not a fully developed remote. It feels like it is BETA with many many problems in my experience. Won't learn commands, database coding incomplete and faulty. Software not intuitive, less then stellar customer support etc. etc. I would not buy it if you are thinking of finding a high quality universal remote way too many bugs
That's a shame you've experienced so many problems. I must admit I'm the opposite so far. It's actually living up to the improvements. I want to try more complex activities too
@@HowToDoItTech ...I found that when you try to incorporate a TV box with a PVR with many things like pause, record, FF, skip forward, back, info., recordings, etc., is where problems arise. An android box or Apple TV box, etc. are simple devices with 4 buttons max. and they work fine on this remote. Hopefully Sofabaton will eventually get it right.
The remote is good but the software is way too complicated without some written instructions. We have all gotten used to looking online to figure things out without a booklet, that used to come with most electronics, but this software has too many ways to do things and correct things that it took me two days to get it working reasonably well by trial and error. That seems to be the biggest issue with people I read online.
Hopefully the manufacturer will be listening and continue to make changes for all owners. I definitely noticed that there were incremental improvements to the user experience.

Sadly that's the one area that requires some trial and error to find the correct input.

Fingers crossed! That's one device I don't have in my home right now so I'd like to know more myself.
