Minn, Wily Illusionist was the commander of my first EDH deck. She holds a special place in my heart and it is neat seeing her in this combo. I would totally love a video seeing this deck in action or even of a more in-depth video explaining the combos in this deck. Looks great, good job!

super interesting decks that have got me theory crafting a lot especially the bant iteration of it. I feel like Roon just isn't very good as he's very slow to get going and is really only good if you already have the engine going, I think what you want is good generic value commanders that can help you find Minn/Preston. So here's my two suggestions (this is all theory crafting so i have no idea how good they'll be in an actual game also sorry for the block of text)
Thrasios, Triton Hero/Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker: It's a bit of a weird paring but you know. Let me cook! Firstly the most important thing is that Thrasios can act as a cheap and contestant way to get Minn from the command zone via pod effects. Secondly, Thrasios can act as a way to help you ramp, draw and dig through your deck for your pieces. His ability is pretty expensive to activate but you could use cards like Training grounds to lower the price of it. as well I feel like this deck is playing at a slower place and having a commander that in the late game can help grind out games and generate lots of value is very much appreciated but even if that doesn't happen, worse case scenario Thrasios is just a target for pod effects which is fine because that's what this deck wants to do. The flexibility is nice.
Moving onto Ishai. The reason why I think you pair Thrasios with Ishai is that Ishai can act as the voltron "plan B" if Minn or Preston somehow get permanently removed. Ishai can also really slow the game down, giving you time to find Minn & Preston as your opponents won't want to cast as many spells not wanting to "feed the bird" so to speak. Or she'll draw peoples removal spells which is good since they won't be using them on your key pieces. Ishai is also not completely non-synergistic with the deck as you can use pod effects on her to be able to tutor up things such as Yorion or seedborn muse. So overall while the paring doesn't have the same immediate and obvious in your face synergy that Roon has, I think they would be better than him for the reasons stated above.
Thrasios, Triton Hero/Tymna the Weaver: Ah yes. T&T the bane of Cedh back in the day. Rather uniquely both commanders have 1 less CMC than Minn and Preston respectively which means you can consistently tutor both of your secret commanders using pod effects. As well this paring gives you access to 4 colours so you can sort of mash both of the Roon and Sefris deck together with some obvious tweaks to it. you can do both the reanimation and pod effects in the same deck. Although then the deck might become diluted by trying to do too many different things at once. But that's the thing this paring lets you take this idea in so many different ways and still have it work well as the commanders act as generic value engines. Tymna is definitely your main commander as she helps you draw, she's synergistic with Minn and can act as a way to get Preston. Thrasios is mainly here because of his colour identity and his CMC but in late game he can help you grind out value and trigger Minn with excess mana.
Overall I think they'd be good commanders to helm this deck but I don't know since I don't know how well the Sefris deck works and this is all just theory crafting. I hope you enjoyed my unhinged ideas and keep up the great videos :)

All great suggestions maybe thrasios and livio so I can keep a blink enabler in the command zone?

@@OnlyLands-MTG Oh yeah that would work as well! you could use cards like Biomancer's Familiar or Training Grounds to lower the price of Livio's ability as well. You could also pair Livio with Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix but I think Thrasios might be better. You could also go Thrasios with Yoshimaru and go with a legends blink deck as preston will make the spirit token copy which will then activate yoshimaru's ability twice and would activate Minn as you'd have to sac the token to legend rule. You could use cards like Time of Need or Prime Speaker Vannifar, or fauna shaman to help tutor for Minn and Preston. Other tutors you could run are Chord of calling, Instrument of the Bards (good if you go with yoshimaru) worldly tutor, Vivien on the Hunt, Sylvan Tutor and I personally think the best tutor for this deck would be Shared Summons.

@BIGBOY1996-pu5wz yeah at a certain point you have to make the deck functional on its own too can't make it too all in on the secret commanders especially when there are 2 of them. You're right the bant version definitely still has legs but I felt the esper version had the least downsides.

Quick rules question: Does Delney Streetwise Lookout cause Sefris’s ability to trigger an additional time?

    • @OnlyLands-MTG

So delney will not trigger the first ability an additional time since that ability says "once per turn" but she will copy the reanimation trigger when you complete a dungeon.
