I can’t believe after all this time I only now noticed that the background terrain behind Kai and Prince shifts thru seasons to indicate that their moves are considered for a significant time.
I assumed the landscape changes to indicate which side seemed to be winning at the time. When the ground is snow white, Prince appears to have the advantage.
@@ShawnKavanagh I do admit 2 & 3 were the peak of the series. I personally enjoyed S4. To add to that I really don't like where sci-fi shows have been going in the last 5-10 years. At least not the main stream stuff. I should add I haven't seen any Star Wars live action shows yet.
I remember seeing ads for this episode when I was a kid and finding the whole concept of the chess board with human “pieces” so terrifying. I didn’t know anything about this show and thought the characters who got axed actually died, didn’t know they were just weird projections.
Have watched this game a couple of times and am falling for the white 'bunny' queen. She's not in the category of the previous Zev who was, of course, a Universe of Lascivious Loveliness ...

I think it's just a reference to 7th Seal. They didn't have the kind of money for deep continuity.

There are human chess games being played here and there. They dont kill each other(:D). Just move out of the board.
