A lovely roadster with style, personality and spectacular looks. I watch "The Graduate" for Dustin Hoffman's 67 Spider Duetto, not Mrs. Robinson. Nice review, Lou!

I have the exact same car, mine is 1988, it was strange watching this! I have had mine for nearly 30 years! all original! could do with a little a little attention now! lol
Nice. My 86 Veloce is having it's engine rebuilt right now- I lost a compression ring on #3. I miss it! It's going to have 10:1 compression when I get it back, which will be really nice. They are such great driving cars! I agree that an electric fan is a must-do. I had new motor mounts and hit a dip in the road at speed, and the fan hit the sub frame and shattered, piercing the radiator.
Hi John McDonald, Sounds like yours is coming along and will be on the road again in no time. Thank you for viewing and sharing. Hope you see many more cars on the Channel you'll enjoy, Lou
I lost compression on cylinder #3, hoping its just a valve. The engine was rebuilt 5k miles ago with 10:1 motronic pistons, 11.2 and 10.5 cams, electric fan, 40mm webers, high velocity curved stacks, alcoholics exhaust and headers, and alcoholics fast road suspension kit
the 4 leaf clover was the unofficial symbol of Scuderia Alfa Romeo, with each petal standing for one of the 4 cars and their drivers (among them Enzo Ferrari and Antonio Ascari (Alberto's father) during the 1923 season. One of the drivers had been enduring a terrible record, and in desperation (or superstition or both), painted a clover on his car, and promptly won a stage of the Targio Florio. The charm has been on Alfas in one form or another ever since, usually to denote special editions. For being an alfa enthusiast, I would think he would know this immediately as it is certainly Alfa lore in one form or another.

Was the stock steering wheel one with an airbag? If so, where did you purchase the wood steering wheel? Any issues with removing an airbag with the insurance?
hi i love the car!!!! i have the panasport rims on my 1991 alfa spider and would love your center caps. can you let me know how and where i could get those please.
Hey Guys, Great video thanks for posting. I too have a 1987 Alpha Spider. I am wondering if you might post the name of the shop that did the restoration as I am currently researching having mine brought back to spec. Thank you and regards.

Magnaflow full exhaust 2 piece w/ flanges. $1200. vs $69 Stinger catback straight with polished tip. Still needs some more burbble , pops, . I may do a glasspack swap on midpipe muffler.
The fan doesn't break from hitting the shroud it breaks from age when the fan is old it starts to crack eventually flying apart making people think it was because of the engine mounts.
Hello, do you have conditined air? if yes, the electric fan is for this. you have two radiator. otherwise you must often to look at the termomether........
Hi Benni, Per Marc the Owner "AC has been removed. Factory belt driven cooling fan has been removed and replaced with electric cooling fan in front of radiator which is thermostatically controlled to turn on and off." Hope that helps, Lou
beautiful italian car. nothing wrong with it all.. however, my personal opinion is to put campagnolo or cromodora rims on it, not panasports. but like i said beautiful, and to each their own.
Red valve cover looks cheesy, should have polished it like silverware like your handles. Looks like a Lotus now. When you gonna drop the V6 in it for 250hp ?

IMHO 15" aftermarket looks SMALL, SKINNY RUBBER, weak sauce, try some 16-18" and keep your 14", 15" OEM. Unless you have to have EXACT OEM SPECS like that spec 15x6 Rota with EXACT offset. (OEM clean wheels add real value, these tiny spec RB Rota add nothing without the other set included)

Original wheels look better BUT, these are Panasports and widen the tire to a 6" as well as offset the wheels for a few inches wider wheelbase

Hi D Mertz, I'm pretty sure 1989 was the first "air bag" year so this car would not have an issue. No idea where the steering wheel came from, Lou

Benni Mazzucco there is a small fan for a/c mounted directly to the confessor this is not for cooling the radiator.
