I am a bit sad that i just now took the time to learn about what a good person (with great humor) he was. Hey Jersh! This album 'October Rust' was peak melodic Type O. If you want something more indicative of how incendiary the band could be try 'Unsuccessfully Coping with the Natural Beauty of Infidelity' (long hilarious but utterly obscene) or 'Gravitational Constant' from their first album.
Going to jump in with the recommendations for Black No 1 (extended), Haunted, and Be My Druidess. They are/were amazing musicians and the vibe and lyrics are so decadent and dark, yet often so romantic. The October Rust album is full of wonderful songs, but you can just pick randomly and almost not go wrong, which is lucky since there's almost more songs than I can narrow down to recommend. I'll definitely be returning for more Type O song reviews. RIP Green Giant, you're greatly missed.

The entire October Rust album is great! I had the pleasure of meeting Peter Steele as a teenager after a show and he was so genuine and generous. Some people may not realize he also had a great sense of humor.
I love seeing other people get into Type-O. I really appreciate their covers. My first listen was their cover of Black Sabbath and was hooked ever since. Another great cover of theirs that I would highly recommend is Summer Breeze. Or Christian Woman for one of their originals.

I was expecting some Cannibal Corpse like band and instead I got this amazingly different Alternative metal experience (best I can describe it) Guess it's one of those dont judge a book by its cover situations but Peter looks intimidating af yet he's like a teddy bear at heart.
It would also be VERY interesting what you say to their project BEFORE Type O Negative. Carnivore. That was also some interesting stuff. They had 2 albums. One self titled one and one named retaliation.
I want to recommend a bit of a campy song, Black #1 by Type O Negative. But if you want camp and seduction, check out Christian Woman. 🤘 This was a great choice.

I think a reaction to Type-o-Negatives song called,Suspended in dusk would be great if you would,as it seems like most people always pick other songs by them,but I have not seen any reactions of anyone doing a reaction to Suspended in dusk,and it is slow,but heavy and I have think that song is one of this their best,as it fits the style of music that Type -O-Negative is all about perfect just like a piece would in the perfect puzzle,so give it a try,as I believe,that you will enjoy the song,thanks for reading this, Bill.

I always thought same...and to an extent partly still do...but I think she has a tragic childhood ( digging up a lost doll/ lost trust and childhood)...like abuse Im guessing ...had her Psychological damaged from that ( gauging "Burn" on the wall..aimed to the abuser).alway destroys relationships! ..no matter how much her lover will do for her...It'll never be right or good enough.
Reviewers always get distracted by the weird video scenes in this, while beautiful harmonies sing and melodic chords are played. Alot is missed by the distraction. Studio version is best.
Music video always cuts out at least 5 minutes of music. Its good, but not great. If you are going to check out another song I suggest September Sun, but please not the video it cuts heaps of music out of it.
