It is an important symbol for the group, they time releases and events around the moon calendar, and the universe and space play heavily into their concept. So if we the fans are called “orbits” its like we “orbit the moon (LOONA)” but also in korean we are the light that helps make them be seen, like the sun helps us to see the moon
I'd like to add that, "Girl of the Month" is definitely their Korean name, the word for month and the word for moon are actually the same in Korean. So it's probable that they thought of this double meaning when making their name - people will initially think of them as "Girl of the Month", but if they get deep into fandom and lore and pay attention to the imagery in MVs they'll eventually realize they're actually "Girls of the Moon."

LOONA is truly unique group that cherish their fans as much as themselves. They don't see their fans as an addition to their success, they see them as them also. They are true to themselves when they say they want to see more fans and I am truly fascinated by how down-to-earth these girls are. They are truly set apart the standards of how an artist should be. The word artist is a loose term these days. kpop idols are mostly talented in singing and dancing, but not in like creating,writing etc.(some are ofc) Artists are often seen as more talented then idols. But the thing about idols being looked down upon is wrong though, they are talented too. But say pop stars that don't make their own stuff, and just sing should be known as idols, not artists. But most places in the world uses the word artist rather than idol.
Their love for orbits is so genuine. You can tell from the way they talk that they truly love their fans and are so grateful for what they have achieved. They were so humble and sweet with their messages. Here's hoping they'll achieve even more in future.

I love how you can see the difference between an interview where the person knows nothing about them and someone that truly appreciates not only the group as a whole but them as individuals. I've been watching this channel for quite some time now and i love how much respect it gives to the artists. This was such a good video, and made me almost emotional, specially the part where they are asked what orbits mean to them, they could have said "they're my everything" or any other cliché, but you can see how much thought they actually put into that and how much they really appreciate us. This is the best Loona video I've seen since I became an orbit.

theres so many times in kpop i dont really feel a sense of sincerity from idols, like they feel like they have to be happy and energetic when really they dont feel like that :( but these girls seem like they dont hold back everything they want to say and are truly angels

It's really hard to dislike this group. They practically released a different song consisting of each genre. Whether you're into slower music or modern pop you're bound to like at least one song from them.
The interview got me sobbing until HyunJin said she would be the soldier if she can go back... BTW, LOONA is my inspiration. I can't believe that I can be crazy for a Kpop idol like this. Loona's member, songs, album, concept, they have many potential to be famous. Although now Korea still sleep on them, I believe that they'll get the recognition they deserve.
Their answers got me crying. What I love about LOONA is that they don't consider us simply as their fans, but as their friends and equals. Like Gowon said, we are all one and we are a family. Because I have my finals in a few weeks, I don't have the chance to see my family and my friends often, I mostly study all day and work at my part time job. Nowadays I feel very lonely, especially in that festive season, but the girls are here to remind me that no, I am not alone. I love how wise they responded, it makes me feel proud because they are well spoken and educated beautiful women. I love you Orbits, I love you LOONA 🖤
What makes LOONA so interesting is that they are the most extraordinary ordinary girls in the entire music industry. Their perception of working as idols is to make some income, build career, work hard, pleased the fans, and sharpening their talents. They never expect any overwhelming feedbacks from their fans, they just wanted to perform. The look in their eyes are longing for stability in their daily lifes while challenging themselves to become a better and bigger person. So when they are recieving this much attention they are not ready to become those top groups in the industry right now, but they already are one of them. The overwhelming differences between their domestic and international fandom differences have limit their understanding of how impactful they are outside of Korea. They are so ordinary that they think that they are only one of hundred of groups in the overly saturated music industry right now. They are so extraordinary that they cannot be defined by the standards of how a kpop group should be. They are breaking all the rules yet they still play by the rules itself. Its quite hard to understand, even myself has a hard time to fully comprehend their abilities and potentials. My English is really bad since it isn't my mother language but I cannot convey enough how much I appreciated these twelve girls. They saved my life from problems I cannot spoken. They are truly the only group that I will wholly stan in my entire life.

Before LOONA goes any further into the industry as the time goes, I just want Orbits to take a time to think. Each and every one of you is important to LOONA's future success. I listen to and follow many kpop groups for many years, but loona is the first group I ever stanned. There is something so special yet so normal about them. Loona are so talented and hardworking, but at the same time they are just perfectly imperfect, normal girls. Normal girls with dreams, normal girls who want to love and be loved.

My heart is so full nr. So full. To know that Loona knows how much they are loved and appreciated around the world makes me so happy. We truly love each and every one of them and I'm glad our efforts to show it reached them. I know they struggle in korea so I always worried that maybe they didn't know how important they are to the world (I still think they haven't gotten just HOW revolutionary they are) but I'm glad they know they ARE loved.
This interview is so personal I really like how they showed us this side of them, I feel like we are more “connected” in some kind of way now you know. I also really like the fact that every single one of the has different point of views about what orbits mean to them and it’s really beautiful how this show their personalities. I really love them with my whole heart, I trust them when they say that they’ll come back to us, I know that they will make it big mark my words.
I'm watching this over and over again, everything about this interview is perfect, and I mean everything about it. And always, for some reasons, Heejin makes me cry whenever she speaks up, her words are just so touching, they all do, but Heejin choice of words is just heartwarming and touch directly our heart in a someway, and when you remember that Heejin, the " first " member...no need to explain more how does she feel about a LOONA member.
I really enjoyed and appreciated each one of their interpretations of what Orbits mean to them, Yves was my personal favorite, and Vivi too, all of their thoughts were put to words extremely well. Proud to call myself an Orbit :)

Aw man, I love this. Artists talking about their craft wholeheartedly. I liked how they separated the girls so they can focus more on every individuals goals and story. I love hearing these girls motivations and their work.
This video always makes me cry no matter how many times I rewatch it. This is like a living proof, a documentary even, of them when they finally realized that they really had their big break. I didn't get to see them in LA but the pictures of the crowd overwhelming them still makes me so emotional. Like, "My babies, this is it! This is what you worked hard for, look at how many people loves you. This is only probably a quarter the amount of people around the world that loves y'all." And that I think hits different the most when you've stanned them since predebut and have seen all the efforts that the first few members put in. It really feels magical to me.

I love how you can see the difference between an interview where the person knows nothing about them and someone that truly appreciates not only the group as a whole but them as individuals. I've been watching this channel for quite some time now and i love how much respect it gives to the artists. This was such a good video, and made me almost emotional, specially the part where they are asked what orbits mean to them, they could have said "they're my everything" or any other cliché, but you can see how much thought they actually put into that and how much they really appreciate us. This is the best Loona video I've seen since I became an orbit.

Thank you so much for this, PD. LOONA truly is one of a kind. Every time I watch their interviews, I realize how lucky we are to have them. It’s so noticeable how hard they’ve worked in the last few years and it’s good to know that it’s paying off and it’ll get much better. This project is one of the best things that has happened to K-pop and music in general. The girls must be so proud of themselves... LOONA and Orbit stick together. STAN LOONA!

It's really hard to dislike this group. They practically released a different song consisting of each genre. Whether you're into slower music or modern pop you're bound to like at least one song from them.

What I love about LOONA is that they don't consider us simply as their fans, but as their friends and equals. Like Gowon said, we are all one and we are a family. Because I have my finals in a few weeks, I don't have the chance to see my family and my friends often, I mostly study all day and work at my part time job. Nowadays I feel very lonely, especially in that festive season, but the girls are here to remind me that no, I am not alone. I love how wise they responded, it makes me feel proud because they are well spoken and educated beautiful women.

What makes LOONA so interesting is that they are the most extraordinary ordinary girls in the entire music industry. Their perception of working as idols is to make some income, build career, work hard, pleased the fans, and sharpening their talents. They never expect any overwhelming feedbacks from their fans, they just wanted to perform. The look in their eyes are longing for stability in their daily lifes while challenging themselves to become a better and bigger person. So when they are recieving this much attention they are not ready to become those top groups in the industry right now, but they already are one of them. The overwhelming differences between their domestic and international fandom differences have limit their understanding of how impactful they are outside of Korea. They are so ordinary that they think that they are only one of hundred of groups in the overly saturated music industry right now. They are so extraordinary that they cannot be defined by the standards of how a kpop group should be. They are breaking all the rules yet they still play by the rules itself. Its quite hard to understand, even myself has a hard time to fully comprehend their abilities and potentials. My English is really bad since it isn't my mother language but I cannot convey enough how much I appreciated these twelve girls. They saved my life from problems I cannot spoken. They are truly the only group that I will wholly stan in my entire life.

I listen to and follow many kpop groups for many years, but loona is the first group I ever stanned. There is something so special yet so normal about them. This interview is so personal I really like how they showed us this side of them, I feel like we are more “connected” in some kind of way now you know. I also really like the fact that every single one of the has different point of views about what orbits mean to them and it’s really beautiful how this show their personalities. I really love them with my whole heart, I trust them when they say that they’ll come back to us, I know that they will make it big mark my words.
I'm watching this over and over again, everything about this interview is perfect, and I mean everything about it.
And always, for some reasons, Heejin makes me cry whenever she speaks up, her words are just so touching, they all do, but Heejin choice of words is just heartwarming and touch directly our heart in a someway, and when you remember that Heejin, the " first " member...no need to explain more how does she feel about a LOONA member.

The fact that they are from a smaller company, pioneering, developing and excelling in multiple aspects, and at young ages...I see them truly as little giants.
Aw man, I love this. Artists talking about their craft wholeheartedly. I liked how they separated the girls so they can focus more on every individuals goals and story. I love hearing these girls motivations and their work.
This video always makes me cry no matter how many times I rewatch it. This is like a living proof, a documentary even, of them when they finally realized that they really had their big break. I didn't get to see them in LA but the pictures of the crowd overwhelming them still makes me so emotional. Like, "My babies, this is it! This is what you worked hard for, look at how many people loves you. This is only probably a quarter the amount of people around the world that loves y'all." And that I think hits different the most when you've stanned them since predebut and have seen all the efforts that the first few members put in. It really feels magical to me.
