very strange, I didn`t know that the Pinan Katas are taught in Tomari- Te . Are they part of the regular program? I don`t know much about of this lineage.

      Pinans are modern ”Katas”.
Anko Itosu(糸洲安恒) made Pinan based on other ”Katas” for school physical education .
Pinans are currently used as a beginner’s program.
Itosu was famous Naha-te(那覇手) and Shuri-te(首里手) Master.
