You only need managerial experience to be in parlaiment. The DA has been at it for years, so experience in this field counts big time! Also, 'personal development' could be online courses, reading about your subject, etc etc. You certainly do not need a degree to be in parlaiment. You are merely a manager.

Whether one likes it or not the situation in South African politics will never be the same again. What remains the same is the peoples need for service delivery and development. Whoever delivers will gain the peoples trust. Those who are not in government have to come up with viable solutions. Those in gvt are determined to prove to the electorate that they deliver. If they do it will be difficult for the opposition at the next election . Degrees and high academic qualifications are just theory. Anybody withe a good memory can acquire a degree but they might not necessarily be able to run a factory. I once worked with a managing director who had two years secondary education.
