The mids in C were definitely the warmest and most pleasant, b was so bright that it almost sounded sibilant. A and D were the most neutral, d being smoother. As a vocalist I would want to sing through C, as an engineer, d would be easiest to mix.
Honestly, I am more inclined not to contact and purchase from you because you withheld the results. I want to know what I'm in for while i'm searching instead of being force to contact you. Thank you for the review
Mic "A" sounded the most neutral of all, but "B" showed like it had a little more top and bottom end. Sounded good in this example, although I don 't know how it may behave in general. It would be nice to have the results somewhere, though. (perhaps under the "show more" tab on youtube)
Three of them sound quite alike. B stands out as having just enough of a bite that the vocal is more defined, more present and a tad more airy, without your typical Chinese-assembled-LDC harshness... though I suspect this very boost in the high-mids and lower-highs can be a problem when vocals are delivered closer to the diaphragm.
yobhsiFehT It’s true, what’s the point in doing shit this way? It’s them that think they’re important actually with “Call us for the results.” More like, fuck yourself and post them.
I really appreciate these videos. Very curious your thoughts on an avantone ck-6. I have one. I think I love it. But then compared to some other Mics, I think I change my mind. Please let me know your
I think B is the studio projects Mic, it's a very good mic for the price, and it grabs your attention because of that 9k peak, but at the same time it's very harsh. Give me D. Most clean and detailed of all of them, and if I want to accentuate the upper end, i'll do so with EQ
@@aperson4051 I guess I'm putting all of my trust into @Colt The House DJ who said, "A- Avantone B- Lauten C- Miktek D- Studio Projects C1 (I called)." I'm a very trusting person.
@@danielpool2039 hmmm. I remember hearing a mic shootout in person of the studio projects vs Neumann's at a music expo many years ago. A lot of background noise but what i took away was that i was surprised by the competitiveness of the SP but Neumanns all had a slight softer/more delicate touch than the SPs did. That's the only reason for my guess in B. Although tbh that 9k lift is a common marketing strategy, no reason why the others aren't also doing it.
Hi Antonio! We do these shootouts blind so that you are not unconsciously biased by preconceptions. If you email us at proaudio(at)soundpure(dot)com or call us at (919) 682-5552, we can share the results and send you the high res files (RUclips compression makes it hard to really hear the nuances).

First time I see such a sh*ty move. :D Useless video, unsubscribe worthy gimmick.

The try before you buy option sounded great but can't buy a mystery item.
B is my favorite of the group.
Guy looks like a new born baby-bird in its nest waiting to be fed by Mama bird.
Made my day!!
brian boyd hahahahahaha so true!
holy fuck lol
lmao
I am pretty sure A is the avantone because I have used them quite a bit, and mic D is the lauten , I'm pretty sure

I wish I could thumb this down twice. I might have to create a new account.
No results...not a good way to do this, I won't be back. Don't ike having my time wasted.
Wow, you must be a really important person...

I like A the most... it got the warmest and roundest performance...
Every other one got more or less sibilance or over edgyness problems...

That's funny. You said the Studio Projects mic was very harsh and you ended up saying you liked D - the studio projects mic.
@@danielpool2039 wow, really? What was B and how do you know that?

Can u guys do a budget mic pre shoot out
Less people would be disappointed in this video if you at least revealed which mic was which at the end.
Could you please tell wich A and D are?
How can I know the results? Thank you.
