The point of pulling the leaves over the cauliflower is to keep them white….at least that’s my understanding. It looks like your leaves are doing it on their own.
The garlic leaves will start to die. When you have 3-5 dead brown leaves then you can harvest and cure the bulbs. 👍🏽 New sub…who doesn’t love a garden tour! ❤
Beautiful as always. Yes lol, I still have snow in the ground but tomorrow is going to be 40 degrees! It’s going to feel like spring compared to being in the single digits and the teens. I can’t wait to see the indigo plant. I’ve wanted to dye quilting fabric with my flowers for a while now. I think that will be so fun
I loved shredded cabbage in tacos. I went to Mexico over 20 years ago & had tacos at a restaurant there. They were very simple meet in a shell with shredded raw cabbage and sauce on the side. Your garden looks amazing - I hope our garden looks as nice as yours this year 😊 we’ll start onions in February indoors and maybe a few other cold hardy things, and winter sow in February- March. Thanks so much for sharing!
Your plants look fantastic(those brassicas!). We had some crazy wind and rain yesterday and my papaya tree broke all the way to the ground. It had a big papaya(4.06 lbs) and God sent it to a pot instead of falling under the tree but the tree was loaded with flowers. I have two others so those will have to do for now.Your garlic leaves will start to brown from the bottom(2-3 leaves brown and they should be ready). It's a bit different according to what you planted(soft neck or hard neck with the hard producing scapes). It takes I think 6-8 months so be patient. I planted elephant garlic again because mine did really good last year and it was strong. I'm by no means an expert but that's what I did. I am even experimenting with shallots and they are growing really well. Like you I have tomatoes on the vine right now and cubanelle peppers in my Aerogarden. Chelsea from Little Mountain Ranch folds some of the cauliflower leaves over the head so the sun doesn't hit them and they stay white. Thanks for sharing!. Please keep my hubby in your prayers as he is having 3 separate surgeries starting in 2 days.
I'm sorry to hear about your papaya tree, that's a bummer! Thank you for the tip on the garlic. And oh no I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I will keel him in my prayers for healing. I hope you are doing OK. It's important for the caregiver to take care of themselves too.
Thank you all for joining me in the live chat. If you missed it join me next Sunday! Oh and do you close the leaves on your cauliflower?

Thanks for the prayers. I'm okay. All I need is for him to get better. I trust God will keep him safe.
Prayers for continued health and wellness and safe return for the hostages. CUFI

I let my weeds grow to learn about them as well, as long as they're not in the beds.
It's nice as long as they aren't in my bed I don't mind them
