    What's the difference between a Howler and a Penetrator 10/15 because they all look the same to me lol

    • @mnsirens
      @mnsirens 4 года назад

      The primary differences between them are the horsepower ratings. The Howler is 5hp, P-10 is 10hp, and P-15 is 15hp. Another difference is how they rotate. The P-10 and P-15 use gearboxes and a chain to rotate like the Allertor does, while the Howler uses a belt. This is a lot cheaper than the chain drive systems, and is why most Howlers have rotation troubles.

    • @gabrielstravels
      @gabrielstravels 4 года назад

    Do you know if all Minnesota Counties test in Alert and Attack for one Minute each I would think all would do this testing type but this siren did 3 Minutes of Alert

    • @mnsirens
      @mnsirens 5 лет назад

      What type of testing cycle a siren here in Minnesota does permits on who it is operated by. Only a few counties still use the civil defense signal (attack). A lot of places have discontinued the use of that signal and use them solely for weather-related purposes, which is what they do in Carver County (where this siren is located).
