well in an interview of evangeline pascual when marjorie wallace was dethroned the miss world organization offered the job to her but in one condition she wont be crown as miss world and miss wallace will still be miss world that's the reason she decline the title which is kinda unfair for her i mean she'll do all the work but wont be rocognize for it

After her fiancé 's death , there was no way she could carry on . There was grieving to do . Miss World organisation would never do a cruel thing like taking a title away from someone who has just lost her fiancé . He sent her a moving love letter before he died.
