I have watched the Andy Griffith show since 1970 and still watch it today. My favorite episode was where a young lady had to work on her father's farm and never have feminine things such as nicer clothes and perfume. At the end she becomes a real beauty inside and out (I always cry at the end). The pork chop sandwich looked so tender and made with white meat pork. Loved seeing Andy's hometown and restaurant! ❤
I know the episode you are talking about. I' also like that episode and it is touching at the end. So many good episodes! That sandwich was so tender and delicious. It had the best taste! We will definitely go back.
I loved being in Mt. Airy and thinking about how Andy used to go into Snappy's for a hotdog. Also, it was so interesting when we went on the squad car tour and our driver would tell us different stories and information about Andy. Loved the feel of the town!
LOVE this video! The Andy Griffith Show is my favorite of all time. I still watch the B&W episodes regularly, and they never get old.
The prices at the Snappy Lunch, are reminiscent of 1970's prices. I don't see how they do it.

Snappy’s prices are such a good value for sure. I couldn’t get over how tender the pork chop tasted. Definitely delicious! I have never heard of a breaded hamburger before but saw one on the menu.

We loved the porkchop sandwich. I couldn't get over how tender it was. Carly liked Mt. Airy and actually wants to go back. But she is a teenager. lol She actually had a new wire put on her top braces the day before so she was a little sore. We really appreciate you watching and commenting.

I love visiting Mt Airy, it is only about an hour from where I live. I love the pork sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion and slaw. They have a good cheeseburger as well. I am wanting one of those porkchop sandwiches now! 🙂

This all was excellent and all....love the pork chop sandwich and all of the nostalgia that goes with eating a an iconic legendary cafe...but the scripture at the end...Romans 10:9 says it all...confessing with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart God raised Him from the dead....you WILL be saved
We have nothing without the Lord! So thankful that we have a loving God. Anyone can know him, all they have to do is accept him. Pretty amazing when you think about how much he loves us.

Neat little lunch and breakfast restaurant. Looked very small with cozy seating. Prices were extremely cheap, especially in today's economy.The pork chop sandwiches looked fantastic I would order mine with everything. As many times as I've been to Mt. Airy I've never had a pork chop sandwich from there. By the way the way they tender rise the pork is the way we did it at my brother's restaurant he used to own. You put the chop in one direction through the machine then turn it halfway and put it through the machine again. It should look like cube steak does . Great video.
You definitely need to try one of these sandwiches! So good! That makes sense that it would be how stores/restaurants tender rise cubed steak. As soon as that sandwich came out with those tomatoes, David said I bet they are homegrown tomatoes. Those Indiana Hoosier pork tenderloin sandwiches I have seen are huge! Thanks for watching!

That place could VERY easily exploit the tourism and charge $$$ for their food. It’s a relief to see someone not taking advantage and charging beyond reasonable prices. To be honest, I don’t know how they can afford to keep the prices THAT low. Pretty impressive!
You are 100% right! It's great to see a place that actually is trying to keep things affordable for everyone. I know they have lots of locals as well as tourists. It's such a popular place they could easily charge more and many people would pay it. Plus that porkchop sandwich was outstanding! Great experience.

Back in the 1990's. Waffle House had a pork chop sandwich that was pretty good. It was a grilled pork chop on a hamburger bun. Once you cut away the bone, added sliced onion, and mayo to it, you had a good sandwich. Pity they dropped it. Reminds me of the long-gone Carolinian Restaurant in Wagener, SC. Good video. God Bless!
