Agreed the phrasing throughout was epic. Also the little improv lines in the outro were phenomenal all while mixing this in a way where the guitar adds but doesn’t overwhelm the track. Nailed it.

As a keyboardist, I felt it a bit disturbing that the notes are 8th behind. Is that YT thing or can it be fixed in post?
Do you mean those animated tabs...in my browser timing looks quite nice. Its not 100% in place but its close enough. There is also one wrong. chord name Cmaj9 should be Dbmaj9... my mistake!

Hey. New Sub and Patreon. Thanks. I just got a Helix Line 6 and I want to get your tone. It sounds from your description that you are direct into you DAW. Definitely a Strat sound. What amp do you think would get this tone? Sounds a little like Brick In The Wall tone but not sure where to start.

Oh, that is so great. Thank you so much. This ih how you get it : I used Neural dsp Plini plugin with super tight compressor setup, clean amp but no cabinet at all. And then the most important thing...delay setup : Time is 1/64 note with wet on 100% so no dry signal at all. Then you can adjust delays feedback knob to get that nice kind of chourus/detune delay sound. And Reverb of course!

1/64 delay? Wow, never heard of that. I typically use quarter note, eight note, 16th note or dotted 8rh. Never used a 64th note delay. That's so fast, is there even a delay in 1/64th of a beat?

Perfect Groove part! enjoyed this feel good track Juha! :-) sweet chord voicings in there and single-string grooves i rember checking the cd booklet of this when i was a kid and think it was an Italian session guy but your performance i though had a bit of David williams and Michael Thompson in there.
Just wondered what you though of the cool rhythm guitar parts on this 80s pop hit? ruclips.net/video/tomnqCak1Sg/видео.html Not easy to pick out in the mix but a little easier in this instrumental mix of the original record. The rhythmical bit towards the end of the chorus section is particularly interesting i think the session guitar guy was John Goux.

Oh man , loving every second of it. Just beautiful guitar parts and amazing tone. I think the guitarist was Corrado Rustici. Probably played through Charvel GTM-6 (guitar to midi) converter...although Im not 100% sure

BTW i forget to mention 'Waiting for a star to fall' sounds similar in style to Whitney's Wanna Dance because it's the same songwritting duo who are the dup of Boy meets girl.
