Thinking of doing this too, great video man! Have you had any problems with over heating or anything like that or motor knock? I know some after market exhausts will fuck up your rzr.
hey man you still here.? after you install the muffler do you tune it or program or you never did it.?any problems? thank you.! asking because i just get mine 7 years later 😅
I’m running true duals lte on a 900xp, thinking about putting the DC Sports or these on instead to quite the rzr down. Can you tell me how there holding up after time and do you have a guess on the decibel level, my looney tunes are loud as *%^+!!!! And I ready to change but want to keep my true duals.
Looks and sounds damn good! Did you tack the muffler to the flat bar you made or is it just resting on it? Looks pretty solid just wondering over time from bouncing and engine vibration.
I rounded a 2inch piece of flat steel and tacked it to the flat bar. then I used to large round clamps to go around muffler and over the flat bar to hold in place.
Nice exhaust dude. Did you have to program it afterwards? Because the air / fuel ratio changed. Looks like it's running rich from the blue smoke coming out of the pipe.
thanks mane yeah made that last night and let it render over night. gotta get that other video made of choppin the cage. I wanna go drive in that water that video makes me wanna go back there that shit was fun.
Hey bud ! Awesome video and tutorial. I noticed the 724 area code on the dumpster, I'm just over the line in Ohio(niles) I pick up my xp1000 tonight from new castle lol. I just ordered the same muffler and plan on dabbing it up next week ! Are you doing the poker run Saturday in titusvile?
Hey that’s cool yeah I’m a few blocks from sheetz in beaverfalls. But I didn’t know about any run like that send me a link info you got any info for it. And it all depends if I gotta work or not 😕🙄
after almost 2 years, hows this thing holding up? debating on modeling your install video or buying the Gibson slip on dual for $425 at summit racing.... its hard to tell from video, but is this thing extremely loud when you get on it?? the tone sounds really good.
Hey John thanks for the inquiry. Well the thing is been holding up great exhaust is rocksolid hasn’t messed my machine up it runs fine and yeah it’s pretty loud when you get on it but everyone seems to like it anywhere I go. It is a little loud I wish I could turn it down just a hair just because my wife would like that. The only thing that’s not holding up as my exhaust wrap from the pressure washing but that’s just minor. For the price and cost and fairly easy modification I would honestly try to do it myself instead of spending the 425 as all the exhaust out there don’t really gain any type of horsepower you’re more less paying for the sound. But yeah if you have any other questions let me know thanks man
Yeah I’m in the process of putting the video of me doing it just have been so busy I will get it up soon. But just remove a even amount from the back 4 bars. Nothing is needed to be removed on the front 2 pillars. Once I remove the sections from the back 4 bars I drilled holes about an inch from the cut all the way through the pipe then I inserted a solid piece of steel insert into the hollow tube welded in place with about 3 inches sticking out then I ratchet strap the cage down in place and butt weld it around the plugs I inserted.
Did you get rid of the O2 sensor? I'm looking to do this to mine just curious about how it'll run after pretty much straight piping it? Sounds great, and looks great man!
Custom whale tail (AKA) Dolphin Tail muffler Mostly for euro cars. You can find on E bay but cheap ones are not made with good packing and burn out quick.
Sounds a lot better than all the aftermarket out there ! good job 👍🏾
Thanks yeah the video doesn't do the sound justice but in person its alittle loud but sounds killer!
haha sounds better than most aftermarket systems and doesn't look bad either
Wow excellent work you perform, you are a very hard worker, keep it up 👍!

Man love the sound and diy. think I will tackle this project on my xp4 only concern is how loud is it in the cab while riding?
hey man you still here.? after you install the muffler do you tune it or program or you never did it.?any problems? thank you.! asking because i just get mine 7 years later 😅
sorry for the late responce it ran great after doing it nothing required the stock ecu will calibrate its self.

Nope still runs perfect!
It looks like the smoke is coming OFF of the pipe, not from it
hell yeah!!!! turned out good, sounds pretty good.

isaac schofield awesome. Thanks!
Heat wrap will stay wet and rot your exhaust out really quick.
Yeah when it happens it happens I'll buy a new one
First, it’s stainless, 2nd it’s exhaust and it’s stays hot and evaps quickly.
Can you tell me where you cut the cage to drop it like yours is

Do you have a o2 sencer
Did you get rid of the O2 sensor? I'm looking to do this to mine just curious about how it'll run after pretty much straight piping it? Sounds great, and looks great man!
Thanks my man.... on mine I don't have an o2 sensor in the pipe that I had to worry about because this is a 14' model.
Nice DIY job!
Thanks man hope it inspires some people
Thanking about this exhaust on my 2018 rzr 1000 do you know if i’ll have to tune it?
Most likely yes. The air / fuel will change a bit.
Did you chop your cage? If so how much did you take out?
Yeah I did a 6” chop out of the rear 4 bars.
How much louder than stock would you say it is?
very loud you may not like it after time in is loud but if you don't have anyone that's gonna get mad then it shouldn't be a problem
Will the factory cover fit over this
Yeah you will be able to throw your stock cover back on I have done that my self just didn't in this video at the time.
@ 8:13 sounds alittle like a Subaru boxer engine
yeah that big v twin gives that similar sound lol
What light bar mounts are you using?
Custom set I made my self
I ordered mine
Did it lean the motor out at all?
Nah not at all still doing great 2/19/17
Yes it will lean the motor if you dont add a tuner or reflash
What kind muffler is that

Nope runs great
