What a great first video! Congrats on the new channel. Thanks for sharing your amazing photos, letting us in on your progress and for just taking all of us along for the ride. Well done! 👏🏻
@@WestonWoodfin thank you so much my dude I’m glad I started now I wish I started earlier haha but I’ll be staying consistent trying to make videos every week
Congratulations on the channel! I follow you on Instagram and I really like the honesty and authenticity of your content there. It's nice to see it translates here in your RUclips as well. Looking forward to more videos like these. Loving how those final images look. In a way, they seem very natural. :)
Very good experience, light control is essential and in photos with sunlight, control of shadows and depth of field makes different photos, good video friend. 10:34.
There have several channels that I followed that started as process oriented, but transitioned into gear or business videos. I lost interest. So excited to find your channel-it’s what I like in a photography channel.
@@nancycutler5561 I won’t be going that route at least not to that extent just mainly will talk about what I’m currently using and why but majority of this channel will be about my own journey with photography, my philosophy’s on photography as well as pretty much everything that makes me pick up a camera but gear is not something I’m focused on which I’ll make a video about eventually
Congrats on the new channel! Your eye for colour and composition is exciting to watch and looking forward to education on (personalized) colour, or whatever you feel like sharing!
I've always dug your attention to composition and it's great seeing those images and hearing you talk about it all on YT. Very cool. Keep on keepin' on!
@ I figured it would be somebody new to photography talking about their journey. Not a photographer with a beautiful eye for composition, light and color sharing his wisdom.
Nice concept for a series, some terrific images, and you seem like a good guy. I’ll subscribe. One suggestion about production: Presenting your photos on a field of white does them a big disservice, in my opinion. While a print matted with whiteboard looks fine on a wall, presenting the same photo on RUclips surrounded by white darkens the image that you want us to see. It’s essentially like trying to look at something that’s backlit by strong sunlight. The pupil shrinks to compensate for that brightness and that’s how we get silhouettes. Again, just my take on this. It’s your channel. Have fun.
Beautiful stuff Douglas, love your work!! Would love to see some videos on color grading and editing, interested to hear your thoughts on various film stocks and cameras and digital vs analog as well!
