Not sure why everyone is saying Phil hit him, he clearly didn't, it was a push. Jay is not gonna bleed like that from a backhand like that anyway even if you were to believe that's what happened. It was supposed to come from him falling into the table & they even clearly tried to use Zack's body to shield it so they could get away with the Jay actor not having to plant his face too deep into the table but you can still tell he didn't bang his face into it. The scene was just poorly staged.
It does look like he hits him in the face ever so slightly to be fair, mate. Jay didn't hit the table head on from the looks of it, so it can't have been that that done his nose if that's the case.
@@JR-dt6ml Honestly mate, I've slowed it down more than once, I'm not seeing what people are seeing if they think he stuck him. Even McFadden's body movement is consistent with it being a push. Jay was basically pressed up against him anyway, you aren't getting much behind a backhand &.Phil's arm never got face height. It was supposed to be a push & Jay hitting his head on the table which they tried to use Zack's body to shield to help sell the scene but it wasn't convincing.

@@JR-dt6ml Aye, mate, a lot of people are saying he hit him. Fair enough, opinions & all that, but I'm not seeing that at all myself. I'm looked a few times to see if my opinion can be changed & I'm still seeing nothing I can put down as Phil striking him.
@1977Suspiria Yeah, that's fair, mate. It's still a bit of action for Phil. You can tell Steve isn't as mobile these days, sadly. This scene he moved pretty slowly. Obviously, it's expected due to his age and more so his condition.

Phil sent Jay flying mind you he’s quite weak so that doesn’t take much.
To be fair Phil's a big bloke for his size and much heavier than Jay, Jay on the other hand is quite skinny. Plus Phil's strength is quite underrated.

@@cfexplorations9583true mate he might be old but he’s still got the weight on him and I know Steve McFadden doesn’t want to do fight scenes anymore but he can still out perform some of the younger lads at times.
@@JDillon03MUFC He's basically what Zack Dingle was for his last few years on the show. He'll have scenes like this every so often but they'll be few and far between.

Swear Jay needs to stop impressing Phil look how he stabbed Jay in the back first with Heather's death,then the Linzie incident and strangled Jay once I know Billy did alot but he regretted doing stuff like not helping Jay with Lola's death and lashing out instead at Jay but Billy was there when Jay had his accident I mean Billy owed Jay for what happened to Jase Phil never did anything that he owed Jay.
