    great tutorial! one question, when i go to modifiers on the inner emitter at 14:50....it doesn't have the option to pick the mode of include or exclude. would that option be located somewhere else? all that it gives me is "only in the same system" box to check

      Hey Alexander. Thanks. They've changed the functionality. Here's a link where they'll show you an example: docs.x-particles.net/html/emitter_modifiers_tab.php

    c4d 2023 does not have a noise channel in the displacement shader atleast not for me unfortunately any other options to get the same sort of effect?

    Thank you for this clear tutorial. Could you explain how to render it in cycles 4d?

    • @Velocitypeak
      @Velocitypeak  4 года назад +2

      My pleasure. In Cycles 4D I would start with a Principled Shader and enable Transmission. You can use a Fresnel node, or a Facing node to color the edges of the object. You may also want to try either the "Glass Dispersion" shader or the "Thin Film Soap Bubble" shader. You can find both those shaders under "Surface Extended". I hope that'll get you started!

      @@Velocitypeak Thank you. I´ve tryed with the Thin Film, got something but not what you have reached in the tutorial.

      @@anunciadavecino4095 In Cycles 4D you should give the bubbles some thickness. I would stick the bubbles into a Cloth Surface, and give it perhaps around 0.2cm thickness. I'd be happy to take a look at your project file if you want. Just send a reply via the contact page on velocitypeak.com

    Great tutorial, thank you! I had a problem with it and I wonder if you might know the answer. The Cycles Real Time Preview shows the xpElectrix connecting the particles from the 2 emitters correctly but when I render with Cycles the particles are not connected to the splines! Does that ring a bell? Is xpElectrix buggy?

      Hey Don. A lot of times rendering issues can be solved by caching. Did you cache the simulation?

    • @donross7820
      @donross7820 3 года назад

      WOW, you are so helpful! That solved it. Thank you. Count me in as a fanboy. Now back to all your tutorials one by one.

      @@Velocitypeak That's a great goal to shoot for but that bar might be set a little high. BTW, you solved a huge long term problem and now I can render in extremely high resolution without a crash. Thanks again!

    jeez. They took out "include" since this video was made, so now I'm stuck!

    This is insane, but what's the use,? Is it just art? How can someone make a living doing this? Unless you work for a hollywood studio?

      Hi Bruno...I don't have a good answer for you. But in my experience. "To the hammer, everything is a nail." We tend to look for solutions within the skillset we currently have - including brainstorming and ideation. With a varied skillset you can approach problems from more angles...even if it's not directly related to the original concept. Anyways...that's how I see it. Cheers Jesper
