I'd (Geri) have cried. Just the other day when one of our 10,000 refit projects was going really poorly, I pretty much lost it. Good luck getting the new window sorted out. Great idea to make templates of all the windows...just in case!

Not gonna say there weren't copious amounts alcohol consumed that evening 🤣🤣😭😭. But seriously it was just so shocking we didn't know how to respond. Luckily it seems we have a good plan moving forward. See you next week!

@@captnmcq totally get that. We have called it our "Give a f**k list". When phrased like that it's fairly simple to decide what gets done and in which order 😂

How you didn't explode when the window went I don't know, I'm sure in a few weeks looking back you will laugh but in the moment so very well done for holding it together. Still if you are having a new one that side why not just smash the other side out and have 2 brand new windows so they match and look so pretty. lol. Sorry to see that you've cut your finger, are you sure it wasn't Daniel getting angry for his window mistake and is taking out on you

@@Harry-bh5dg it was a miracle I (Daniel) didn't just have a Chernobyl level meltdown! Considering the time it's taken thus far just to get a new window on order (going on 8 weeks now) I really can't recommend breaking another one...

I am so sorry you have had trouble but I laugh at the fact that when Winston got cut you went to the vet, but when Paige gets cut you improvise. Anyhow it looks like she is OK. Looks no worse than a common kitchen cut. I am curious why that window broke. I hope you do a follow-up when and if you find out. Very interesting video, I like how you both handled it. Thank you.

A good sailor's gotta pivot right?! Paige is doing great, cut is healing better than anything I've (Daniel) ever seen in a kitchen and it sure was a good one! Definitely should have had a stitch or two.
Regarding the window, best we can tell (and if you listen very closely you can hear it in the video) I, again Daniel here, tapped the corner of the pane against one of the concrete pillars of the dock. There was a short *boooong* sound that preceded the epic shattering of the window, and in hindsight it's the only logical explanation. Thanks for watching and hope to see you back again soon!

Any little imperfection could weaken tempered glass. Probably would have broken anyhow when you tried to get the 5200 off of it. If it's 5200 I would just try to seal up the caulk on the remaining windows instead of removing them.

@@thorn3377 very true! But I think (and I also think the camera caught the sound of it) I (Daniel) may actually have bumped the corner of it on one of the concrete pillars. It was incredibly gentle if I did, but right place, right time eh? Oof....

the glass broke because somewhere the glass was pricked, so it exploded
