I love how the Cmaj7 at the end shows the incompleteness of Mettis story. The untold stories, endless possibilities. Almost as if he tells his grandkids about his life on his deathbed, with the climax of the piece showing all the beautiful or epic parts of his life. And then after it, they realise, how much there is to live for and how beautiful life is, as he passes away.
As a self taught pianist of two years whos spent the past 6 months deep diving works of classical pianist, this is the perfect bridge of balance in classical and modern for me. breathe of fresh air and beautiful piece, tyop.
This is such a pretty composition and I love the idea of a musical autobiography (plus the role of coffee in it haha) You have really strong creative concepts that tie in together so well and this has been such a cool project to watch unfold. Great work, Matt!

also, i would recommend changing the mixing on these a little bit. it sounds good on some devices, but on speakers it sounds bass boosted and like the treble is taken away. also a little distorted. i would recommend looking into this a little bit :)
@@ikwenmusicIt's something I can't achieve. I know what you mean because it doesn't sound good on my computer either. But it is very very difficult to mix the piano correctly. I'm not lying when I say that it has a highpass activated and yet you say that it sounds bass bosted. I will try to improve it soon, thanks for saying it ikwen
@@Matsuiio ive found thats one of the things with felt pianos. i use noire pure (not felt) and to make it sound cozy and warm i just turn up the mechanical sounds. that was also one of the things i struggled with when i used a felt piano, because no matter how much you eq it it does not have any treble.

An end. Abrupt but alive. It feels like so many things all at once, ineffable and incomprehensible. It feels like there should be something more, but it is all that it is. Such is life, and such is the world of the unknown. Perhaps it is full of grief, perhaps it is filled with love, but not knowing what it is does not change the fact that it has existed, and for its meager existence it has greatly affected the lives of some, if not many. Perhaps, that is enough. Being is enough. Remembering that there was brings appreciation to all that there is. And that is enough.
I actually dont think you understand how FCUKING BEAUTIFUL YOUR PIECES ARE. I am willing to run up my school's auditorium/cafeteria, get chased by security until I find the dusty ahh grand piano they never use (i have seen it tho its pretty cool), and js play my heart out with these pieces. Last year, in my school, a new girl showed up. My first glance at her made me shiver. She was so beautiful. We never spoke to each other. But for some reason, we would look at each other during class and sometimes even laugh about something together. Not until September, we ended up in the same geography group project, and, for the first time, we spoke to each other. We had a lot in common and she was so nice to me. I fell in love... We started doing a lot of things together, but as the year was getting to an end. I didn't want to be awkward and say "I like you", so I kept quiet. This year, things fell apart. She figured out I liked her, and we were sitting next to each other in geography class, so I felt so uncomfortable. She avoided speaking to me and even laughed at me with her friends. I felt devastated and wanted to go back in time and pretend nothing ever happened. That's when I found Metti's coffee, and it seemed like our story, or maybe just my story... It represented what I felt, but in a different way. I am a musician myself and I really loved this album. You made me feel whole again. Keep on going, my friend! Best of wishes

hello, i just want to tell you...i just found your channel and...i needed this. so. so. so. much. life is tough lately, i am young but i don't feel like it, i feel old, yet at the same time i feel like i am not ready to start living yet. i feel like i need to be protected by an eggshell yet i am way too old to try to get out there anymore. i miss people who were close to me and push people away who want to be with me. i feel different, yet i feel plain. i am asexual but i also want to feel love but i am also just so tired...why should i still try. i am unhappy with my job, yet i am in a good position. i want something only to realize once i have it...i never did it for myself. i did it for him or her or them. and then i feel sad realizing they don'teven care as much as i thought they would. only to then get told by someone else that they did care, they just usually don't really show it. i can't decide in life and i also don't want to decide anymore. i wanted to learn piano a few weeks ago, bought a not so good keyboard and sent it back. wondered if i should start violin instead, asking other which sounds prettier, violin or piano? i did not even care about my opinion. it's all so much yet i still feel so empty. but this...this helped. this played and then my friend called me, she was drunk, but she wanted to comfort me. we talked while i had this on loop. she said it sounds beautiful. thank you.🤍 i... want to start learning piano now. any good keyboard suggestions?
These comments move me so much... Thank you very much for taking the time to thank me in this way. Regarding the keyboard, it is very difficult to give advice that applies to everyone. The only thing is that if you like it, you will eventually be good at it. I am self-taught and I do not recommend paying for courses or anything like that up front. When you have formed your own base, you will be able to get much more out of any teacher and will also have discovered if you are truly passionate about it. I was going through similar things when I bought my first keyboard and it really helps clear my head (at least in my case)

Her: he meets a girl at the café 4pm: they start interacting a bit almost a flower: kinda "her" version 2 5pm: back to reality, no more Mii becoming a memory and love you more than coffee: titles speak for themselves this piece: everything is "incomplete". He met Mii and everything suddenly ended. Just like an unfinished cappuccino, an untold story. The whole thing is just a man's regret fr, sorry to overcomplicate it. And if I made a grammar mistake, I'm too lazy to use a translator...
Seeing your fingers effortlessly hit two above octave, and still look they they could go 2-3 notes easily… Enough to make my octave+1 max hands cry 😂 Beautiful piece tho
