Hi Ahtumn, they are approximately 600-800 grams each, these are made to fit a 250g block of butter. My advice to makers as far as weight is concerned is to try a few different dimensions with different weights in order to figure out your clays shrinkage and be able to achieve the outcome you are after. This video was always meant to be a guideline for beginners about making dishes, less about weight and more about the process. Hi Abbey, I salt glaze so I never use wax. If you look at the end of the video you can see the wadding marks both on the tray and the edge of the lid where they sat together.

where did you wax the lid, where it sat while in the kiln? I cannot see the distinguished non colored rim
