The episode name is in reference to a sci-fi movie with a similar theme of going through someone's mind/memories. Most of the Rick and Morty episode titles will be some pun on a movie/TV show title - this one is on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Keep on keeping on, brother, been watching for about a year.
Notice in the beginning when Rick's AI suggest that he just go to another dimension and get himself a new Bird Person, but he says that's not an option. Our Rick (and his infinit versions) has many times said he can swap universes or get another Jerry, or something, but Bird Person is Special to him. He want his friend back, not another version. He want THAT Bird Person.
But that doesn't make sense though, because we have jumped several times so we aren't even in the universe the first episode even started in 😅 so he can't be that special if this one specific is the one from his new home jump (the recent universe he went to with Morty).
Different writers write certain episodes and come up with the titles. So you can usually tell by the title if the episode will be good or not. Or if they continue a certain storyline.
I think this is a spoiler for a later episode and others can confirm or deny but: . . . . . Rick lost his original family in another timeline, but this Birdperson he only met in this timeline and so doesn't want him to die as well. He barely sees Beth and her kids as his real family so he can adapt and go to another timeline if he needs to, but Birdperson is the original to him.

Staring Jim Carey and it’s a fucking trip and a half of a movie. It’ll also make you super depressed and happy at the same time
Nearly every title in the series is in reference to a movie.
@@VaeluX yes but the late ones had weirder names, coincidence perhaps

Rick is my Guy, for many reasons; but his Loyalty to those few he calls friends is fire; Ride or Die made manifest!

How do you know that, that he meat this bird person on this time line🤔
Rick never had an original family in the sense of Morty, Summer and Jerry because his Beth was killed as a little girl.
