WOW! Music, camera angles, editing, dissolving effects, beautiful plane, flying conditions and superb piloting all wrapped up at once!!!!!! One could honestly say it was Magically Delicious!! Thanks John!
Thanks! Very nice to see this. Great glider and flight. So pleasing to see some sunshine from earlier this year. Best wishes from South Devon. Cheers, Marc
The reason I clicked on this one: Gee, will it be slow because of such hi lift glide efficiency? Yes! It floats or stops!. Notice hepoints in down to get any airspeed! Beautiful slow flight! Wow. Nothing compares in the r/c world! Such breathtaking flights and location!
House completion tomorrow. Loads to do to get it ready, so the models are going to have to wait, but tis always good to watch the Leprechaun, and it's a reminder that summer is almost here! 😂 Happy New Year to you both. 😘
Like leprechaun! His fly in slope on very poor conditions. I was build plywood analog - satisfied 😊 In motor version I use motor for start only. Above 20m his found thermics.
Another great video John! Did you scratch build the Leprechaun? Looks a little smaller then some of the ones I have seen on other videos. If you don't mined me asking, what are the measurements and weight on that plane. That fuselage looks a lot like your Ocean Breeze model.
I scratch built my Leprechaun from a set of original plans, but made a few changes such as omitting the wing pylon and polyhedral wing etc. I built it super light and it came out at about 1.3kg. Since posting the original video of it flying, a few kit manufacturers have started producing the model as a kit, with the same modifications I made. They are all built to the same dimensions.
@@SlopeRCGliders Looks like all the kits are using lite-ply for the wings and come out quite a bit heavier then yours. I assume you used balsa for the wing ribs. Did you use the under camber airfoil in the plans or was that modified also. From the video the wing almost looks like a flat bottom.
@@TheEngineMaker yup, mine is all balsa. I did use the original undercamber rib profile, but the covering has since refused to stick to the curve, so now it’s effectively flat bottomed.
@@SlopeRCGliders Try as I might, I could not see single blade of grass moving in that video. There was no wind! You can fool us no longer, soarcery is at work!
You are so fortunate to fly where you do John .
That wing and tail design would make R.J. Mitchell weep 😉
Nice change of pace from the last video! It's great to see the majestic Leprechaun again! Thanks John! 😊👍🛩

Thank you!
The part is and remains simply brilliant.
Of course, the pilot also contributes a lot.

Thanks Marc.
Pure flight comes not more beautiful than this! Want one Leprechaun!Excellent music choice as ever🙂
Thank you.
I love just how slow and graceful they fly !!
I built one about a year ago, lovely flyer on a calm day !!
Don't we just love that John's hi start is simply a few fingers?
I always asked myself, what is the magic behind that flying? And it is exactly what you mentioned!! Thanks.
That's pretty damned perfect ! Think the Leprechaun is my favourite. A great looking glider 👌

Such breathtaking flights and location!
I could watch that all the time. Super location, beautiful plane. I have to go there sometime. Class John perfect
Thank you. So glad you enjoyed it.
@@SlopeRCGliders I've been looking at the beautiful models for a long time. The X-Wing, for example. I meant the X-Wing is a futuristic model.
Such personality. Lovely.
What an appealing design, it’s perfect, an epic floater !! Thanks for sharing this one!!
Glad you like it!
1:00 - Woodfield trademark nonchalance :-)
A stone wall ? I'll just lob the tail over. No worries!
Finding it difficult to fly any day at the moment but this is as good a fix as I could wish for , Nice footage again team Woodfield 👍
I haven’t been flying for over a month. Luckily I got lots of footage earlier on in the year and just space out the videos.
So good !
Today we have a blizzard here in Oslo, but I'm snug and warm indoors and can enjoy this beautiful video from the summer.
I'm a lucky boy :-)
The modern glider is full flap !
Just enough lift to keep these big floaters aloft....😏😏😀😀😀🇬🇧
Flies so well it looks like slomo

Fantastic stuff. Can’t wait until the weather starts to improve! Happy new year to you all.
Not much wind that day, unlike today 40 mph and lashings of rain!

Good old Leprechaun !.
MAGNIFICENT
I wonder what the wind speed was that day? Seemed quite light. Very majestic.
I think it was about 2-3 mph
It is good video
Thank you.
Great videos and filming. Thanks so much. Could I please use part of this clip as promotional content as am looking for a site near home.
Of course, no problem at all.
@@SlopeRCGliders Thanks. Sites round here are like rocking horse droppings.

how many leprechauns do you own or is it the same one recovered.
This is just the same one re-covered.
🤩🤩🤩
glorious day for it
❤️
A BEAUTIFUL PLANE.
LOOKS LIKE THE WIND IS ABOUT 3MPH.
Yup, I recon it was 2-3 mph that day.
