This is one of the most Amazing performances I’ve seen. It’s like a campfire where Chuck Berry is leading us through stories on his guitar. His expressions and movements are captivating. He expresses absolutely every note through his whole body. Incredible.
I also envy the musicians as well as the audience. Their culture , having self control as far as when to applaud, giving him great respect! Instead of condemning this new style of music "rock & roll" open minded musicians! No interrupted shouting ! Great cultured European people!
Way before his time. That's The man right there, don't care what people say about chuck. This man put his heart and soul into his music and performance. Cheers Chuck.
Yes, he has! The Belgians like their jazz. And Chuck would have a pickup band at every gig (saves money not supporting a band); Wilko Johnson was in one such band pre-Feelgoods fame; the Wembley r'n'r show I think,
Time is our real enemy.. Chuck was one asked: "What do you want to be remembered for?" He said, as long as you remember me, thats all that matters... Ps: props to the bass player.
When you here a rockmusic, you here one Berry. When You here guitarpopmusic 2020 s you here Berry, Richards, Velvet Ug and Kinks - thats pretty much it.
im gonna get the Camera that filmed this this and Rock Around the Clock the both Cameras are in Georgia i want in my house someday a sort of a flashback museum to entertain enthusiasts People THIS WAS MUSIC!
Only few gitarrist changed the way of playing for a generation of new players: Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix and Eddie van Halen. Who will be the next to set new Standards?
Hi, I’m sorry if it doesn’t meet your expectations. Other YT uploads are often blurry VHS copies, this video is better quality. The original audio has problems, so track-by-track I (crudely) repaired many drop-outs, distortion, EQ, etc. You say the “audio doesn’t match the video”? It seems in sync to me. There are audio issues on the original 1965 recording, eg. on the radio broadcast you can hear awful drop-outs on Roll Over Beethoven. It’s still evident in this version, but I think some improvement, where it could be improved.
@@GazelyGaze My apologies. I tried it again because I couldn't possibly see how you missed the lack of synchronisation, it was so bad but this time it was okay. Can't explain why???
@@henrybyrd5402 Aah; sometimes I've had playbacks out of sync. They're separate files, so I guess it can happen if something goes wrong along the route.
You may not like this but you're kids are gonna love it

Epic
My sentiments precisely
Why did we have to evolve from this. Pure simple good fun with real talent
Devolve you mean
The lord of the riff. Without Chuck, there would have been a world with much less rock and metal. Thank you for everything.
Fascinating this young Chuck Berry!
No wonder his songs helped make the Beatles and Rolling Stones great
each song told a story; not just a few rhymes
The man who invented rock 'n' roll!
True King of Rock and Roll
Brilliant...!! ✨️🎶🎸
Takes you up there, where the air is rare. Mr. MERRY CHUCK BERRY.
Way before his time. That's The man right there, don't care what people say about chuck. This man put his heart and soul into his music and performance. Cheers Chuck.
the rest of the band is fantastic. Especially the drummer. Aboustely super talented.
Yes; the Belgian pick-up band here are more jazz-trained than typical for Chuck, as people have commented.

Rock on, Chuck, rock on...
Chuck's got a very jazzy band here, specially the rhythm section (drummer and bassist)
Yes, he has! The Belgians like their jazz. And Chuck would have a pickup band at every gig (saves money not supporting a band); Wilko Johnson was in one such band pre-Feelgoods fame; the Wembley r'n'r show I think,
@@GazelyGaze wow, Chuck with Wilko, that must be cool
The bass player killing it too
Time is our real enemy..
Chuck was one asked:
"What do you want to be remembered for?"
He said, as long as you remember me, thats all that matters...
Ps: props to the bass player.

Now hes dead
We'll all get there. Every one of us.
He took the sound of some kid named Calvin Klein and rode it to the top of the charts!
Why are you runninnnnn. Lol the introduction got me hard

I wish he used es335 and better amp.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼👍👍👍👏👏👏💗💗💗
Interesting Gibson amplifier in the background!
Wonder if a GA200 or GA400?
1958
That's when he had many hits, but this is from 1965. Eg. he plays No Particular Place To Go, released in 1964.

Das Publikum...sind die echt oder Dekoration? Ach jetzt - sie klatschen. Ok. Sie sind doch echt.
They're real. But probably just some invited friends of the TV producers, as extras. Even in Belgium there would be many more if they offered tickets.
The audience was stone cold
The backup band sounds like they needed another hour of rehearsal.
How is this "High quality" when the audio don't match the video?

@gazely gaze Good video but sorry to say you have the year wrong. This is from 1958, not 1965.
What makes you think that? It's from 1965. Eg. 'No Particular Place to Go' was first released as a single in 1964.
I partage on my fth's wll but th'rs no time 2
No comment from my 'fa, ('da s'en br..
I wish he had a better backing band. Unfortunately he was too cheap to keep a constant band.
This band is more jazzy than usual, good players although he won't have rehearsed long with them.
@@GazelyGaze I like this vibe.
Early rap song.
