It’s why they never felt 100% satisfied in other peoples relationships. the only thing holding them back from it is themselves and 'fighting'. But in other relationships they both always say x or y doesn’t understand me on a soul level. And during this time both were kind of checking out bc of different things that’s why he leans on safety from brenda she leans onto the stability of brandon. I agree i’d like them to fight more for their relationship but it seemed like the writers were hell bent on showing how ‘wrong' DK are for eachother. S3 did an almost brilliant job of building them and their foundation up though so it didn’t work for me. After DK got together in s4 again everything was great until brenda got jailed & his con family showed up.
