Bought a 3 inch SP101 a few days ago. I have run so many firearms in my time and I am kicking myself for not buying this revolver years ago. I don't want to stop shooting it. I keep hearing people complaining about how uncomfortable 357 is out of it, but I am not experiencing that. Although I have not tried hotter 357 ammo yet 🤔
You did good getting the 3”. It is nice to have the ability to use any .38/.357 ammo, from mild to wild. The Tri lock system is great, along with not having a side plate and screws. One thing I forgot, is that it was made to use the rim of a .38/.357 to remove the single grip screw for disassembly.
@@Catgat37 they will make a great pair, to last a lifetime if properly maintained. I think they are the better designed revolvers for durability, and I own a few Colts and S&W’s.
@@CAVCOP they will last multiple lifetimes, even if not maintained. Ruger fixes things for free....regardless of if you are the original owner or not. And they do it quick.
I love taking apart my firearms, like seeing how they work while giving them a good cleaning.
It is neat to see how they were designed and work. I really like how the engineers made the Ruger.
Nice break down
Nice quick and simple way to do it, thanks
Thanks. It’s a great revolver for durability and ease of disassembly for cleaning. A great survival revolver (other than weight).
Great Video, Good to know info on trigger assembly( don't pull the trigger) as i've only gone as far as hammer spring & grip.
