Same, I looked like bobblehead as a kid, and my face emerged around the same age. Wish young people would hold off on surgically changing themselves at such a young age
I did the buccal fat surgery to reduce facial rounding around the cheeks. Later I realized it was really the masseter muscle area further back in my face causing the rounding. Something to consider for folks looking at the surgery. The buccal fat surgery gave me a more hollow look below the cheekbones but in front of the masseter area. In the right lighting, I can see the indent from the fat removal. It doesn't look bad (late 20s, had it done in my very early 20s). It does give a mild positive hollow look currently. At low enough body fat percentage, the rounding that does bother me is significantly reduced but it could also be due to overactive masseter muscles (I grind a lot at night) and other structures there. All this to say that buccal fat surgery may not reduce the round cheeks if the issue is further back in the face.

The thing about this discourse is that we don’t see our difference between ordinary people vs celebrity. Celebrities, especially models, get photographed a lot. We don’t. I’m guessing they are just as self-conscious, except they can fix it easily. Buccal fat removal gives them a sharper, defined, mature, high-fashion look. It really depends on how you want to be perceived. Look at Bella Hadid. She’s a great model overall but let’s not deny that her strong face contributed to her success. Whether she looks “aged” or not, she’s still very beautiful. We ordinary people are not the same as them. If you don’t want to get it and just let nature do its thing, that’s fine. But you can’t dismiss the fact that you are not at the receiving end of comments on appearance, they are. Lastly, let us accept the fact that famous people don’t care if they don’t look natural.
You didn't mention cheek implants. Filler is nice but cheek implants can be costumized for your face and don't need maintainence. And they don't accumulate over time.
But the problem with that is your face’s bone structure changes proportionally as you age. The implant doesn’t, so it will look weird after a decade or two
I am 22 and have naturally very defined cheek bones but my cheeks have hollowed so much since I was 18. It's insane and kinda scarey. Unfortunately, it means I'm not going to age too well I think D:
Well it is important to look good when u are young. Nobody really cares about how u look at 50. That is why usually younger people get this kind of surgeries
Diet is always the problem, there’s certain foods that can increase cheeks volumes, fruit, honey, vegetables, these are the fountains of youth, healthy fats are very important too
Chipmunk cheeks are cute, I understand the pressure celebrities have to look chiseled and "expensive", but these standards always change. Why age yourself? The buccal fat will reduce over time- mine has.
Does buccal fat get Fatter easily? I'm skinny but everytime i wanted to gain weight and eat more the first thing become fat is my Face and my Belly and my arms have slow effects on Gaining Fat!
I fall into the pretty and cute category. I don't have too much facial fat but enough to look like 14. And I like it. For myself, I don't care what others think, especially not men. Women don't exist to serve men with their optics. This look is a trend, whoever wants it = go for it. Some people feel the need to follow trends, they see something and BAM it's written into their brain that they MUST HAVE it. Be it designer clothes, children, expensive cars. As long as nobody gets hurt - not your business.
You sound like a misandrist with an axe to grind against men, but regardless no men care about women having a chiseled face lol. This is a runway model look that most men do not find attractive, it’s a look pushed mostly by gay male fashion designers and that other women like. Most men prefer softer youthful features.
I’m going forward with this procedure in October, my surgeon said I was already a good candidate for it. I’m also FTM and my doctor mentioned that this can be a great procedure to create a more masculine look in the face. Do you think that the absence of buccal fat is more masculine, because I always associated it more with a mature look.
I believe buccal fat is something that people who want a more masculine look is perfect for. Even if you look a bit older, it's more associated with robust masculinity
I think it looks fantastic. I’m 55 and I look like Betty boop. I have no cheekbones and look like a bloody balloon, throw in jowls and saggy neck and it’s just not nice. I’d have buccal fat removal tomorrow if I could afford it!
I have deep dimples. So when I smile my cheeks look hollow. I wonder if that means I have less or separated buccal fat? I personally like a full, round face. A full face usually ages better as you loose facial fat with age. My girls are 20 and 17. They are teen aged thin but have nice full faces. The baby has more cheek hollowing than my older girl but she doesn’t look like Bella or Zoe.
I'm 5ft and 50kg and have chubby cheeks I don't know whether to lose more weight or just accept the fate that my face will always be fat. Does anyone have tips to reduce face fat naturally?
Do you bloat easily? I’m roughly the same height and weight as you. I have chubby cheeks and bloating makes it even more prominent. If you bloat easily like me, it would be helpful to lower consumption of sodium and carbonated items. Also get a food allergy/sensitivity test to see which foods to limit. If it doesn’t work, at least you’ll feel better overall! :D
Do you think the omina pillow can cause skin sagging since your skin is not supported? If so, do you think it's worth trading sleep wrinkles for sagging skin?
Can you do a video about jowls? or does anyone know If they can be fixed with buccal fat removal? I do think i am a good candidate because I have very full cheeks even when I am at a low weight
Waiting for my swelling to go away so i can see my results 😊 I’ll let you know if im happy with it or not Also i do have some nerve damage on my left side but its very minor and will probably be healed a year from now
I'm really skinny and have buccal fat.I'm looking at my mom and she still has buccal fat. Also, I'd rather look pretty when I'm young than look uglier when I'm older lol. Should i do it only for small amount of fat?
No girly imo they look more feminine and youthful but that depends on your other features eg if thicker eyebrows then it’s better to have a sharper face
Could one use botox/fillers (I don't really know how they work) to reduce this "gauntness" as they age? As in removing buccal fat and then using something to put it back later on.
i have a tiktok where i do cringy ass thrist traps n girls say i look so attractive it’s because i bite my cheeks i look so much more attractive when i bite my cheeks im 17 n i rlly want to get this when im 18
It would be interesting to see you cover beauty standarts within the LGBT community. As a lesbian myself, I know a lot of gay women have a different ideal of beauty when it comes to themselves, but also partners and who they find attractive. I see that it's not about looking young and average, but being unique and having rare features is often considered attractive. I'm not saying this is not the case for heterosexual people as well, but it's just more prevalent in the gay(especially lesbian) community. A lot of research is done on heterosexual people, but I wonder if there's anything done on LBGT people. It would be cool to see what the differences are.
I would also love to see this type of content because, as you mentioned, there are vastly different beauty standards for lesbian women and sometimes these types of videos are a bit too heteronormative.

Oh, is it "sick and at death's door look" season already? I still had "bbl deformed backside" decorations up!
Can you do a video on side profile vs front profile? People with attractive faces but not so attractive side profiles and vice versa
Diet is always the problem, there’s certain foods that can increase cheeks volumes, fruit, honey, vegetables, these are the fountains of youth, healthy fats are very important too
There is this thing called Renuva that might help.
getting prominent cheekbones from mewing helped me get the hollow cheek look i didnt even know was possible for me
Daamn the prices of your reports doubled!!!
Inflation
it kind of immediately makes you look older, even with the flawless smooth skin
Rather than one size fits all trends the goal should be adjusting to balanced proportions and realistic expectations of what is "beautiful"
Hey QOVES, can you do a video about male makeup and what to accentuate with it?
Chipmunk cheeks are cute, I understand the pressure celebrities have to look chiseled and "expensive", but these standards always change. Why age yourself? The buccal fat will reduce over time- mine has.
I have a round face and I hear that I am beautiful
It's an easy shortcut to 3-month-old-corpse look for sure
This video was made right on time because I'm actually getting this surgery done in 2 weeks
I think Halsey also had this done
trending in 2024: chubby cheeks
Does buccal fat get Fatter easily? I'm skinny but everytime i wanted to gain weight and eat more the first thing become fat is my Face and my Belly and my arms have slow effects on Gaining Fat!
I think that’s just you because after 20 buccal fat usually doesn’t really grow
You just have more fat cells in your face and belly than your arms
only zoe kravitz can somewhat pull it off
Nah, she looks gaunt
@@vol.145 i agree, it depends on the makeup and photo angle sometimes too
FEllows THe ONly EASiest SHORtcut to MODelling is SURGERYY 👌
Before buccal fat removal was a thing, people would just starve themselves or be heroin addicts to have that model look on their faces.
Ok, we need a video on the Sprouce twins. Immediately.
Um why?
1:00 that result is definitely not just from buccal fat removal; he definitely also has some facial implants
Hi, I hope you can do a video on Gwendoline Christie 🥺🥺
I don't see any of them looking bad with it. Maybe I have weird tastes, but I think all those women look much improved with the hollow look.
Yyyaaas kween you get that skeletor chic look 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
Am I the only one who hates how the face looks after buccal fat removal? I have YET to see a face that looks better after the procedure.
I had orthodontics in my late 20's, I swear it was as if I had a bucal fat removal, has anyone had this experience too?
I am currently undergoing orthodontic treatment and it did widen my upper jaw a bit, helping that hollow cheek look
I'm new to this, but I would say yes. It's only "bad" for women bcuz they want a more young or less strong angular look.
I'm getting it done in 2 weeks
I believe buccal fat is something that people who want a more masculine look is perfect for. Even if you look a bit older, it's more associated with robust masculinity
Remove it while you're young and in a few short years you'll be forever trying to replace what you lost but it will never look right.
Me trying to get some fat in my cheeks😶😶cause I hate my high cheek bones. I want chubby cheeks.
What do you think about underchin fat procedures like Kybella ?
Can you make a video about Zayn Malik? He so handsome.
Is this the reason why Anya Taylor Joy looks so different now? These "beauty" standards need to be redefined... 😟
Yeah I believe she got it done. She looks very different.
She got it done
If I ever have a celebrity crush again it won’t be someone from western culture. ATJ put a permanent sour taste in my mouth.
Honestly I think Zoe Kravitz looked a bit better when she had more bucal fat but she still looks good either way.
I think it looks fantastic. I’m 55 and I look like Betty boop. I have no cheekbones and look like a bloody balloon, throw in jowls and saggy neck and it’s just not nice. I’d have buccal fat removal tomorrow if I could afford it!
A very minimal removal could be appropriate for some people like yourself . I just think the girls in this video look so extreme .
They look older.
Depends how old you are. I have a similar bmi as you and are 5'2" but my face slimmed down rapidly at 18, and now when I'm 23 even more
Check your body fat percentage, not bmi
You're telling me *gasp* that it's NOT puberty that making these celebrities face shrink??
Do you think the omina pillow can cause skin sagging since your skin is not supported? If so, do you think it's worth trading sleep wrinkles for sagging skin?
That pillow looks so uncomfortable regardless , I don’t think I could get used to sleeping on it 😮
Can you do a video about jowls? or does anyone know If they can be fixed with buccal fat removal? I do think i am a good candidate because I have very full cheeks even when I am at a low weight
ill stay with my lowkey chubby cheeks im 17 afterall
It looks good on the right candidates.. u have to have good bone structure to pull it off
Waiting for my swelling to go away so i can see my results 😊
I’ll let you know if im happy with it or not
Also i do have some nerve damage on my left side but its very minor and will probably be healed a year from now
I'm really skinny and have buccal fat.I'm looking at my mom and she still has buccal fat. Also, I'd rather look pretty when I'm young than look uglier when I'm older lol. Should i do it only for small amount of fat?
I don't see why not. They can save your fat and put it in your cheeks again if you want some of the Fat back
No
No girly imo they look more feminine and youthful but that depends on your other features eg if thicker eyebrows then it’s better to have a sharper face
Does getting very lean achieves this?
Everybody has a different fat distribution. Some people loose weight and get this look, some loose weight but the facial fat stays. That's individual
Look at Brett Favre and Tom Brady from when they entered the NFL to probably 10 or so years later. I think this applies to them.
He definitely got it done. It’s not like he’s super model thin.
@@Dino-Savage I actually think this was just a matter of the aging process like the video says.
@@crashnburn1321 I mean he is a lot older than these women are.
Clinging onto my buccal fat for dear life, gonna wait till my 30s for my face to naturally slim out lol
what do you think buccal fat removal for people with round face?
Could one use botox/fillers (I don't really know how they work) to reduce this "gauntness" as they age? As in removing buccal fat and then using something to put it back later on.
And how can I lose some naturally ? I am around the 10-12% body fat since forever but always kept that chubby fat
That's your very personal fat distribution. You can't change it without invasive procedures.
you can’t sadly, buccal fat removal was specifically meant for people who are healthy and have this problem.
What if you do it but not to that extreme as they went? Remove less of the fat? I feel like my left side has more fat and it makes me asymmetrical
i have a tiktok where i do cringy ass thrist traps n girls say i look so attractive it’s because i bite my cheeks i look so much more attractive when i bite my cheeks im 17 n i rlly want to get this when im 18
I have always had hamster cheeks even when skinny
This was a great video even if you guys suck at hiring as a company
what about fat loss injections at the same area of the face? are the expected long term consequences the same?
sometimes i think face surgery would look great but then i see zac efron
Great video,
I honestly think a big downside to this is how you age
its a problem with most cosmetic surgeries but yeah you age horribly imo
I stopped the video several times because I thought my neighbour was playing piano at night😅
is nearly impossible to reverse, causing some concern among experts.
A shortcut to age yourself. That's what it is.
What are alternatives to buccal fat removal?
Kybella, radio frequency
Age
can you cut out some of the low end frequencies in your voice recordings please and thank you.
could you do a tutorial on how you edit?
Ok but you can’t use pictures of people from when they are a teen/child..🙄🙄
You're the weirdo and you know it.
I like the chizeled even gaunt look, if nature hadn't given me it I would have this procedure. I don't like looking childlike at all.
I will say- Zoe Kravitz did it right. Stunning. But she already has a strong and prominent bone structure to support it.
