Thanks for presenting the Relativity of Simultaneity as Einstein presented it in the book he wrote in 1916. The definition of Simultaneity of events was the breakthrough that he needed. He had considered the problem for almost 10 years. But with the Definition of Simultaneity he completed the Special Theory of Relativity about 6 weeks later in 1905.

Thank you for this; cogent, concise and without endless waffle.

I think I understand. If you want to experience time in real time then stand under a tree?

Sorry, I utterly reject the idea that they're both correct that makes no logical sense.

Exactly, there must be a mathematical proof or something logical, we can't decide with just observations or experiences

Sure it does. The whole notion of relativity is that two observers can disagree on their observations and both be correct.
If you’re in a car driving down the road and look down at the cup in the cupholder from your perspective the cup isn’t moving. From the perspective of someone standing on the side of the road the cup is moving. Both observations are correct.
Einstein proved that time is also relative. We can both observe the same events at different times and both be correct.

@@GloryTacos77 Your example does not prove both pov are correct, one person is wrong and the other is right.
It violates the law of non contradiction, to things that are polar opposites cannot be true at the same time, that is pure absurdity

But isnt that then just C PLUS THE SPEED OF THE TRAIN? its so stupid. i thought you cant go any faster than light? then OMG YOU ADD THE SPEED OF THE TRAIN ?

oh i forgot because einstein said so. this theory is crap as you have two different things going on in two different frames all the time. its not the only idea out there. its just the one they peddle to non-millitary scientists

no, the speed of light never changes in this thought experiment.

You have everything wrong. How about you start learning basic electromagnetism and relativity BEFORE trying to comprehend simultaneity?! Imagine being so arrogant as to criticise Einstein without knowing the fundamentals. Hilarious duncery. You carry on being the amazing physicist you are, Kye!
