- Here's a look at my American Airlines premium economy experience on a Boeing 787-9 from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
The premium economy cabin had 3 rows in a 2-3-2 configuration. With only 21 seats, this cabin had a much more private feel than the economy cabin.
Additional perks included:
-A larger seat with more recline than those found in economy.
-A footrest.
-An amenity kit and an upgraded pillow and blanket.
-Upgraded meals.
We did this on AA PHL-Athens... Well worth the extra money. It's 2-3-2 and we sat in the 2. Just perfect for us. Like domestic 1st class. Not super fancy, but very comfortable.
I agree 100%. It really makes a difference.
Yes
Is food different from economy? I am thinking about getting it for our family which include 3 children
Yes, the food is different, and depending on the flight, you may get a full meal when economy just gets a snack.
nice!
I hate that damn footrest. If you are tall it makes the legroom SMALLER!
I am short so I loved it, but yeah, it's not great for anyone who is tall.
How much did you pay? Thanks
Never heard of premium economy 😂not on BA or AF
Both BA and AF have premium economy. World Traveller Plus is British Airways' premium economy and it's just called premium economy on Air France.
