It took a little bit to understand why, but I think choosing to have the boss in the faded background is a really good idea, because it allows them to remain on screen without limiting the forms of attacks. You'll likely get a lot of use out of this one in the future to keep things varied.
fun fact: Most of these attacks are nearly impossible to dodge, the key to pass them is in Linkyop's Ultra Hardcore Granite. Basically, you need to stay in the warning before the beats come up

Someone said it was based on COVID-19. Which I can see why. First of all boss in my opinion looks like a virus, and the upgrade bar is based on the COVID variants, basically every new variant being an upgrade of the previous one. And another thing I noticed is people saying how hard the level looks, this might be a stretch but maybe the reason for it being hard is because dealing this the pandemic can be hard for others, and if your not careful you will be infected.

that ending really took me by suprise! when i saw it for the first time, i actually jumped out of my seat when the glass breaking sfx played! very good animation as always, Kofi!
I imagine for around the pre-beat drop Dubwoofer Substep starts cracking and at the listeners discretion thing an error message shows on his face, when the beat drops the screen cracks off and he gets this type of pissed expression (that is if he can still show one without no screen) and at the ending the frame should be hit by a ✨DORITO OF GENEROSITY✨ and he should turn good again (just pretend that he was alr good before his boss battle, just that his battery blew up lol)

I love this collab its SO GOOD i can tell how much work was needed for this its so clean smooth intense and hard (The first part was impossible for my mouse cursor lol) i like the end HAHAHAHA YOU HAVE BEEN INFECTED

I love this boss a lot. And it kanda inspired me to make my own character design. Plus, I even titled him as “The Creature/The Virus” because he looked like a virus and is a custom living-being. I also depicted him as the one who apparently controlled The Boss in the main game and the one responsible for the infection.

After the transformation I expected more from the boss than the same previous pattern when it was normal, sure it chased you in a big form but that's about it, over all is an interesting boss
So I'm not really a fan of regular granite but this level is the exact opposite. Everything was done so well, and the fourth wall break at the end was really unexpected and cute, i hope to see more in the future (yes i kniw I'm like 6 months late, but better late than never amirite?)
