This is the KING of sub $1000 electric bikes. I got 180km out of it on s single charge. Peddling for about 33% of the time. Just AMAZING. Forget speed. The name of the game is comfort and long distance. I get plenty of exercise in my job. When I leave work I want to cruise home. Without having to peddle at all.

I have the l3 and the M1 to be honest i have never had the need to change gear on my M1 so the lack of gears don't bother me . it's all about the range that's why I bought it .

Are there oversized fat tyres that could fit these wheels? It might add a little comfort to it. Though Fiido should probably make another version - the exact same bike with bigger forks to take bigger wheels.
yep done that it is possible. Now though and this sounds mad but fitted a 350w front wheel kit, battery, controller, etc from another bike and it's now 2wd!
I have the L2, in their website they show both spare batteries each for L2 and L3, I'll probably buy the L3 soon... do you think I can interchange their batteries?

How much does the battery weigh? I am guessing that without the battery the bike probably loses about 40%. Interesting. Anyway, you could probably install a bigger chainwheel or even a front derailleur with a second chainwheel to give you more options.
As with any single speed bike you can change the rear cog frewheel from a 16 teeth to 12 teeth or 10 teeth if you have strong legs to get faster top speed, If you live in a hilly area you might try a 14 teeth cog

I just ordered a L3 today. I was worried 'cause they don't show their location address on their website. I guess they are all right. I hope I didn't just lose $999 to a scam. Mercy
there are no gears because there are tons of other foldable bikes with same wheels and gears. Since that bike has huge battery which probably will never discharge till zero, there always is symbiosis of electric motor and rider's legs, and sum of their power is absolutely enough for riding up hills. Therefore there are no gears. Quite logical. I personally don't understand why on small electric bike should be gears like many other manufacturers are doing, of instance - in HIMO Z20. It's increasing a price of a bike and bottom half of a chain is always very close to road surface and is easily to break it accidentally. Also - it's logical that ratio between pedals and wheel is as it is. otherwise- you should have a very huge pedal part of gear which would be uncomfortable and look weird. Also - why you do want to ride more than 25km\h on a bike with 14" wheels? I think it's dangerous.

This is the most awkward, silly looking bike. It looks like you are riding kids bike. I would never ride something like this in public, nor i would buy.
For me, I love its ultra long range and affordable price. I need to commute from my apartment to my office 2.9km everyday. Fiido also provides fancy-looking e-bikes, their D11. Wish could own them both.
That's up to you. I could care less what people think. I'm getting 23mph and 51 miles from my L3. For 740 euro. You are never beating those numbers for less than that. The bike is the best kept secret in the ebike universe. Last week I crossed London and back on a single charge. 46 miles. And still had juice left in the tank. There are £1500 ebikes that cant do that. Its AWESOME.
