      @@RKXIXKR Capoeira is unlikely to exist 500 hundred years.That was the time Africans were firt imported to Brazil and it's unlikely they instantly made it.Also there's thin lines were history is blurred with legends,some well known Mestres(Acordeon for example)believe it was created further later in the cities.Definetely the name doesn't come from a jungle and there's no one who really knows.Most believe the name meant "chickenfight".Don't try to educate people using random internet articles please.

      I think it stems from Angola in Africa, many breakdancing moves also stem from African tribes. At least the seed of what eventually became Capoeira stemmed from Africa.
      Similar to Parkour, a French army or naval higher ranking officer on duty in Africa was so impressed and inspired by seeing certain African men performing acrobatic feats on a daily basis, he wanted his men to have similar agility and abilities and thus took what the could from the African men's acrobatic feats and implemented it into a feasible training regime for himself and then his soldiers. It was that French officers son (or nephew?) who got inspired, started training similar movements in France as well as being inspired by Hong Kong martial arts movies and Bruce Lee's ethos, and voila you have Parkour

      Bboying (or breakdance) from the hip hop scene was influenced by capoeira. In a Brazilian dance style called zouk (also branch is lambada Zouk) was also influenced by capoeira. You can see it in the lead’s movement leading a basic move called “lateral”.

      Cicero it is my countries thing, the reason why Brazil has it is because the slaves from Angola practised it. Get your history re written. My people were doing this before slavery. Stop trying to re write out stuff.

      Angolana Capoeira as it is today is not just angolan.

    • @bbbeto02
      @bbbeto02 6 лет назад

      No, not angolan at all. If it was there would be some stories of angolan masters, and there is none, zero, nothing.

    I'm glad I'm not the only one who watched Bob's burgers and felt they had to see what this actually looked like.
    Also, I had no idea such an amazing thing existed- it's like watching Ninjas and Earth Bending combined with music.

      Bob's Burgers referred to it as dance fighting as a joke, but the truth is slaves had to disguise it as a dance to avoid punishments and even death. It's the original Tae Bo. But without crappy 90's music.

    Isto é Capoeira! É luta, é dança, é arte. Nascida na África, depois levada para o Brasil pelos escravos, desenvolvida durante séculos.
    This is Capoeira! It's a fight, a dance, an art. Born in Africa, then taken to Brazil by the slaves, developped for centuries.

    • @Felipekimst
      @Felipekimst 3 года назад

      Well, I think it's commonly said it was born here. Africa had some tribal rituals with body practices which capoeira might have some influences from but, the way it is today, capoeira regional and contemporanea it's from Brazil.
      Even old Brazilian capoeira didnt look like the way it looks today so, saying it was born in Africa is a huge leap in my humble opinion

    • @squallthegriever
      @squallthegriever 8 лет назад +8

      Its easy to see Lawliet do it. Lawliet was the one who practiced it, and it makes sense since it involves music and focus, more than just precision.

    • @elizabethdactyl
      @elizabethdactyl 8 лет назад

      Oscar Moreno yeah, have you read the book? in the book, he doesnt know it but misora does but in the anime he does know it

    • @squallthegriever
      @squallthegriever 8 лет назад +4

      Elizabethdactyl The book was created after the main series, and yes. What I am saying is, that its a detail they over looked. Also, he seems to be a perfectionist in the things he does, we can easily say that Misora maybe influenced him into learning it. It wouldn't be strange of him to travel out side of the Western Continents. Easily fits his personality and adds to his character. Still sad Misora died. She lacked the knowledge that Light was the main suspect, I see her to be the real successor of L if he had died first and she would had made contact with him. Misora was awesome.
