Right?! When I read your comment I envisioned the wnba players in a high school auditorium watching Temi read this as a mandatory assembly. Just a bunch of rotten kids rolling their eyes at and ignoring her. Because let’s be honest, that’s exactly how these “women” are acting. But they’re too childish and petty to hear the wisdom that Temi speaks because it doesn’t fit their narrative.
As much as I wish for everyone to hear her and understand her, some people are just too ignorant and stubborn to listen to a differing point of view let alone to consider and agree. That would be too rational.

  • @gene6717

As much as I loved watching Temi and Clark’s connection, I also realize that with her being left off the protection list, it allowed the Valkyrie’s to draft her and speak from a platform that’s not associated with the Fever. Thank you Temi, you are truly what this league needs if they are ever going to unite. One last point, Engelbert has to go, she’s a cancer running the narrative of the WNBA. Great example of this is the presentation of the ROTY, trophy.

Remember the Women's Rights Movement? Well this is the Clark Effect Movement! She's trying to uplift women in sports as a whole and not just basketball! She's involved in a project to bring an expansion team to the women's soccer league to a city (forgot which city but that's irrelevent). The bigger picture is she's trying to uplift women sports closer to men's sports. Am I the only who can see this?

Don't care if it was Fagbenley or someone else who came to speak the TRUTH on the Clark story... But the Analogy of who came in to Turn the Lights On is Perfect... For almost 30 years the WNBA has been playing to candlelights and missing everyone's attention... Now here comes C. Clark and gets the crowds involved, interest on the game that was nearly non existent B-4,, charter flights, Merch sales, TV audiences and practically has a NEW Electrical system installed and suddenly now everyone can actually see where darkness prevailed... So who cares what or Who turned the lights On..? They're ON Now, aren't they?? What if she was Chinese or Russian or Even Mexican..?? But because she's white, good looking and skilled, now the haters, envious and ignored feel threatened... Clark has done for the WNBA what Sheryl Swoops, Aj'a Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu or "et, al.," COULDN'T DO and that's what BURNS THEM ON... Clark is the Massive Giant Wave that has lifted All Boats but don't let other woman see her wearing a better PAIR OF SHOES because they'll jump at her throat... I will never understand women... But The Truth Will Always Be... Women don't need a reason to hate... Any Excuse Will Do...

The black players try to make it sound like this started as an all black league, which is not true. There have been many great white players from the start. So don't start complaining that the league is changing, it is. But it's not the for first time. The biggest problem with the WNBA is in the front office that believes white and black player rivalry is needed to sell tickets when its good play that sells, not drama that goes nowhere.

Temi is basically saying that the last thing people should be doing is a "white girls can't ball" hatefest. It shouldn't matter who turns the lights on. Shouldn't the focus be on the fact that the lights are on and we can see at all? Temi is correct about that. Swoopesie-daisy and Auriema and the rest of the haters need to stop. The idiocy that the Time athlete of the year should have been the whole league was stupid. Did they make all of MLB the ROTY instead of just Jackie Robinson? No, they didn't. Did they decide that all of the MLB should be MVP rather than just Ichiro? No. Have you any idea of what the photos would look like, how ridiculous the cover would look if they did that? Or did they really want a cover that would highlight just the 4 or 5 players they want to sell in their old-school lunacy and thereby ignore that Caitlin Clark even existed? That's the statement they really want to make, that it's not Clark that brought the attention to the league, it's something that the league did. This is the same league that effectively authorized paying bounties on flagrant fouls against Clark. That's what they want us to celebrate, their thugocracy. That thugocracy hasn't worked to improve the perception of the league for the last 25 years and more. Why expect it to work now? Auriema is pissed that his UCONNVICT Butches are becoming increasingly irrelevant. Teams that stress the possibility of innovative play are becoming increasingly relevant. Swoopesie-daisy is pissed that the old ways that she made a career on are disappearing. That game is gone. The NBA went through this. They embraced it. They are thriving. The WNBA is fighting it, and they are circling the drain.

Sad thing is that so many players are filled with Hate that they can't see the good things in front of themselves. Oh poor pity me, I did this , I did that . The spot light is not only on Caitlyn because of her skills and endurance . It's also because of the way she carries herself in respect not only for herself , but also for others. People are tired of the hate that's in the world and wish to just see a good basketball game with great sportsmanship. They want feel joy and not remorse. Give the people a good show that will bring them back and help them to forget their problems even if it's just for a little while. Know that the violence and assaults just reminds people of their hardships. Let people leave with a smile of a great game and it'll make people's lives better and in return it'll bring the revenues up along with feelings of accomplishment.

While I agree with alot of what her message was, for me the reason I didn't watch until cc was that the game play wasn't very good, and that's it. The nba was and is just better. theres only so many hours in a day, so im going to watch a better product no matter what it is. Where are all the women to watch the women's game? If women supported the wnba, then the wnba would be successful. Why doesn't the league address that issue. Instead, they try to guilt it's audience with race baiting and fake outrage about how past players haven't gotten the recognition they deserve because of cc. They live in denial by saying how great the wnba has always been while being subsidized by the nba, still losing millions and having unlikeable and unprofessional coaches, players and ex players getting in front of the camera letting the world see how delusional and unlikeable they are. The problem with cc for them that I see is that cc exposed their game .while there are a few good players, for the most part, cc showed that the skill level isn't there on the whole .that was proved by the full court defense these teams tried to play on her and it still didn't work. This league doesn't seem to realize that people have eyes and ears. For them to tell people something that isn't true when people are watching the same game is insulting to its audience. For example the eye poke on cc. Everyone and their mother say what that player did with her hand and how that was clearly intentional. Yet the player lied about it then put out a video mocking cc about it with cc's own teammate. And the wnba wonders why they lose money every year. It has become a completely disgraceful ,unprofessional, vile league and it shows no signs of changing. I feel bad for the women who have shown class in that league. If cc gets the same treatment on the court as she did last season and gets hurt because of it say goodbye to whatever progress the wnba said its made.

Let’s get this correct: the past WNBA “great players”, the pioneers DIDN’T DESERVE 💩! The market dictates salaries; supply & demand! The rest of the player didn’t have any to OFFER that we, the public, was INTERESTED in BUYING! Clark is at an entirely different level and WE, the public, is interested in BUYING IT! Magic, Bird, Dr J and Jordan OFFERED unmatched talent as does Clark and WE WANT IT! Nobody deserves nothing: YOU HAVE TO EARN IT! All the past “failures “ comparatively speaking, got what they deserve; WE WERE NOT INTERESTED IN WHAT THEY OFFERED!

It makes me suspicious that you are trying to profit off the work of others and may just be AI.

So no one made a big when Marshall came and took rap to the next level? Should he apologize for him being white? GTFOH nothing everything is about race. Not saying racism is over . People will always judge no matter what race or creed you are

Why are people in the US so hyper focused on race. The day as a country you decide the colour of your skin, your heritage, your religion, your sexuality are not a limitation, have any effect on your potential, and certainly do not have anything to do with your personal value. Everyone is born equal, it's your personal actions, your choices and the effort you make that ensure your value.

Put this lady as the director of the WNBA. She may still be a fantastic player, and it will be a loss to any team having her, but her foresight is far more important to the WNBA at this time in it's life circle

Temi , Caitlin , Kelsey ... some very wise women who see what is real and have spoken out. If the WNBA can just listen to them they will find the direction for Women's Basketball !

Reasons why so many Fever fans loved all the players not just Clark. They all played like a team. Wish Temi was still there, but will be tuning in to watch her on the west coast. They were smart for so many reasons to pick her up. Her likeability will be a draw

She is careful and actually covered 90%. Let's adress the paid for private plane. The suddenness. No that didn’t just happen. That was negotiated long before, where did the money appear with debt. Of billions,. The plans are supposed from the commissionors? The league is comprised of owners who vote for on fouls, on schedule, players salary's tops, and host of other.. No matter what we think it is. It's money driven. They knew way in advance before Catlin, years head. Have been doing this for decades. They are not stupid. What goes on behind closed door. Why does take some much time to decide best the awards. That statistics are the facts. Behind the curtains on the yellow brick kgolden) road (yellow). We all know something is not right.

Maybe too little, too late. Where was this at the beginning of the season, during the hard core abuse being handed to CC? Where’s everyone else who witnessed it and kept their mouths shut? I’m talking to you, the players. I was one of the potential new viewers, allured by curiosity and admiration of CC’s ability, started to learn about the different players in WNBA. I can’t stand all the stupid drama these women were doing, and the league’s seemingly neglect of their players. I was determined not to let all that BS sway me away from trying out to see if watching and learning more about the WNBA was for me. But CC’s interview just dissolved my resolve and admiration for the league. It’s how she feels and I respect that. I just don’t believe that her “white privilege” is what brought her this far. This is how peer pressure and corporate ideology affects some people. I’ll just stick to watching something else for now. Maybe things will change and I’ll be willing to watch again in the future. For now, not going to subscribe to any channels just to be able to catch a WNBA game. You all blew it.

There were many truth bombs in her statement but some very unnecessary race references. The white pop privilege myth is just that, a myth. You can recognize the past players without calling out race. The constant references to race just keeps racism alive.

I'm tired of these false narratives. I wish that people would stop pushing this idiocy. Why can't it be good enough to just go about their business?
I don't understand why people push divisive ideologies.
