Both great actors and good human beings. Hope they heal. Can’t wait to see “Maria”. I went thru my opera craze. Loved Maria Callas. Now I listen only to Dimash Kudaibergen who blends his opera training with many other genres. He also is now an UN ambassador. Wish he would perform in US again. Angelina doesn't sing or have the appearance of Maria Callas. They should have respected her memory and professional career as a soprano. I'm not going to pay to see a movie that hasn't hired a real soprano to play as the "queen of the bel canto" Maria Callas.

Her father named her Angelina after a Greek friend on set, who was named aggeliki. She is Greek enough. It's not a film about her nationality, it's about her intimate persona through art. If the Greeks want their own version of Callas, they are more than welcome to produce it. Art and film are not a monopol.
