That spell you got "Flame, Cleanse Me", is extremely useful, especially for exploring. It cleanses most debuffs, such as poison, scarlet rot, etc. It doesn't cost too much mana either.
I was really of the same opinion as you in terms of magic as you. Ignored it completely, so much so that when I started a magic playthrough without a magic starting class, I had to rely on the fucking CLUB to beat the first several bosses since I didn't know where to actually get spells or a staff. Also, damn Rhoku, didn't know you were racist like that, confusing a random jar for THE IRON FIST, Alexander? smh my head. 3:15:55 RHOKU THAT IS A CHILD Never realised how absolutely absurd Rennala's phase one is if you're unlucky enough to be so far away you don't see her shield drop when you kill three golden children for the first time... Good to know bitchin' about it is how you enjoy the game, that's honestly based as hell. I know you've beaten Radahn at this point, and just need to upload it, so it seems I can just sit back and enjoy the ride. No spoilers, but both the general's twink father and gigachad father are going to be real doozies.
Although yes bitching is how i enjoy the game, the next one had a fight I REALLY hated. Its the twin gargyole things. Took me like an hour and a half. The main problem im running into now is that although I am able to kill a lot of things in a decent amount of time, I keep getting oneshot by like random attacks from joe schmoes. Is it a matter of me just trying to pump up my Vigor or do I have to get better armor? I am still rocking D's armor.
@@RhokuTV It's a bit of a problem with Elden Ring's balancing in general. No spoilers but bosses later in the game deal so much damage it seems a bit unfair when you compare them to earlier games in the souls series.
@@RhokuTV everyone hates twin gargoyles, it seems to be shared experience. People usually go up to 40 vigor and roll with it until the later stages of the game, where they go up to 60. I didn't know that and stuck with 30 my entire first play through and the final boss took me about 4 hours of beating my head against a wall.
I heard you said on stream a couple years ago one time that you didn't enjoy souls game in general (maybe I heard wrong idk). What're your thoughts now that you've played Elden Ring?
Well my thoughts are essentially still the same in that its the type of game that takes a ton of playtime to begin to enjoy. But now that the Elden Ring videos are doing well and also that League is utterly unenjoyable, I find myself having the time to grind it out. It is genuinely a great game. My biggest gripe with it is how much you need external resources to play the game. Like I find myself utterly lost to the point where I need multiple tabs on a browser on a second monitor along with video guides on how to find things. That kinda ruins some of the magic of the plot for me and it leads to me not getting into the game as much. However, the feeling of just fighting the big bosses, learning their moveset and overcoming them is soooo exhilarating so I'll definitely be playing it to completion.

that would have been useful before i went into the abandoned cave for the scarab :(

Keep it up with Darius plays

to kill Rennala the witch boss you have to kill the golden cripples so her bubble breaks and then you can deal some dmg to her
